The food service and overall set up are really good. Really impressed until i went to use the toilets. The toilets are a disaster. I could only see two and they were soiled and very dirty. Company needs to address this. Perhaps have an attendant on toilet duty during busy times .

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Dublin. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. The food came out beautiful and fresh and it wasn’t a long wait, even though the place was quite busy. We also got coffee and dessert and enjoyed that. Cute gift shop area and atmosphere. If we are ever over this way again, we would be happy to eat at Chapter One.

Great spot but they need to sort the issue with mash potatoes for a child's dinner, the inly way i can get mash and goujons for my child is to order a baby bowl and a goujon and chip dinner, but I don't get the chips. Simple issue, might not affect many but I just can't understand the hassle with it. Great spot in every other way. Very family friendly and very helpful staff who are always very busy.

One of the best lunches I’ve had in a very long time. The food has an Indian twist it’s divine. Would recommend to anyone passing Cavan to try this place

Great food good range of Gluten free products! The staff are really friendly and the service is very quick. They even have a range of Gluten free sweet products which is rare!! There is a lovely shop attached beware if you have a shopping addiction to gift ware!!!

Cavan Crystal Hotel

12/06/2026: Have never stayed in a room in the Crystal, but have attended baby sensory classes, popped in for a drink and even got married there as part of the Cavan registry office services. No matter what I've been in for, the staff are always wonderful, courteous and helpful! Today in particular our car died following a sensory class in the hotel and the lovely chap on reception (sorry I didn't get your name) called Freddy from Maintenance to see if he could help. We got the car going quickly and super appreciate how helpful and sympathetic everyone was as we had a small baby in the car too. This only solidifies in my mind how great the crystal is and how often I'll be recommending them to friends and family ❤️
