No other word but 'superb' when dining here earlier tonight. Staff extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, and very well presented. Surroundings very tasteful and each and every mouthful delicious. Great ingredients turned into very flavoursome food that was pure pleasure to eat. Thank you Nevin, your kitchen team and all the staff.
Like everyone who eats here you have to book so far in advance that you hope the wait is worth it. It is. From the minute you walk in the door to the time you leave you are relaxed, happy and incredibly well fed. We did the pairing menu, we tasted some fabulous wines and took pictures of the ones we really liked, which was all of them really.
We were lucky enough to meet the man himself, he was so friendly and welcoming. The next morning we had the pleasure of meeting his wife Amelda, who is just lovely. The breakfast is beautiful, yes the porridge is sublime!
Our room was lovely, overlooking the gardens, comfy bed and pillows.
When we left we both felt incredibly relaxed.
The whole experience is wonderful, but for us the highlight was the staff, they are just incredible, friendly, knowledgeable and happy to chat or not. They are the jewel in the crown.
Didn’t know what to expect when we booked this as a location for our 10th wedding anniversary celebration. All I can say is it’s amazing.

10 out of 10….. Fabulous experience…..loved it. All Staff were brilliant….knowledgeable about each food course….very pleasant….a real treat - would definitely return.
