The best restaurants in Cavan

03/07/2025: Wow what can I say this evening I’ve gone in a different direction in this brilliant menu with so much choice. I’m a BIG believer of experimenting in the great menus Eastern Tandoori Virginia have and this evening I’m delighted with my choice. I went with the Seabass and to say I enjoyed the fabulous dish would be correct but more than that it melted in my mouth with a great flavour of tastes . The warm welcome that I received every time I enter the establishment is so welcoming and refreshing that can only make you want to come for more. I really want to award the fabulous front floor staff who always offer a friendly welcoming feeling and I also want to thank the GREAT Chef along with his kitchen Chefs on the Five Star Service they offer . Well done to the management of this great establishment I totally recommend you delicious restaurant. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

10/07/2025: Great full Irish there on our way to a golf competition with a gang of 10. Couldn’t say no to a small lemon meringue pie on the way out either.

03/06/2025: Been coming here for a few years now. My grandparents and I always stop in on the way from Dublin to Cavan. The staff are lovely and the food is great. We’ve had lunch a few times, but usually just go in for tea or coffee and a cake. The chocolate biscuit cake and scones are my favourites, and my grandparents love the eclairs. Last time I had a dirty chai and it was lovely. They’re really good with requests too, like weak lattes for my grandparents, no problem at all. The place was recently renovated and looks amazing, with a modern feel and outdoor seating. Toilets are always clean too. Definitely recommend!

02/06/2025: A group of 8 of us from Tipperary stayed here the weekend, we were up for music with a group from Rush.🎶🎵 Lil and Martin were fantastic hosts, great breakfast and dinners.. The staff were brilliant. I would recommend a visit..

02/04/2025: One of the best nights of my life. This was the experience I was looking for when I came to Ireland. The music, the pints, the whiskey.....all of it. The service was out of this world. The people were so friendly that I would go back just to pop in for one night. Thank you for the experience.

15/07/2025: A pannei and chips 12 euro is absolutely ridiculous and was nothing special a sandwich and a few chips as dear as a dinner how does that make any sense wouldn't return didn't like the girl looking after us and too expensive for what it was

13/07/2025: Any time I go here the staff are so rude!!! Food is overpriced not worth it at all! Went for the pasta dish here before half portion was €16 and wasn’t even nice

12/07/2025: Place has a lovely vibe. Friendly and professional staff members. They also have a gluten and vegetarian option. I do think that the price Vs portion size is not equal unfortunately otherwise great place to stop at

15/06/2025: It's good place to buy last minute gifts for celebrations and wonderful selection of cookies/cakes of any kind as well for serious birthday or communion. We love traditional cakes I see there like chocolate fudge birthday cake and apple tart. We bought an Achill Island Sea Salt there too. Lots selection of sets of fancy glasses for gifts. I noticed a wee steel milk bootle I want next time. And big selection of fancy teapots. There is a special selection of fresh bread, and sometimes we gor lucky getting the bread still warm. Bread is sold out quickly usually as it's really good, my favourite is porrige bread and tomato/olive bread-last time I got this one I ate it in the car beside as it was unreal good.

11/06/2025: I really like going to this place with my friends and very calm outside area with the heaters are very nice food is good I just don’t really like the pricing sometimes it can be expensive but overall it’s good 😁

18/05/2025: Great coffee, fantastic healthy food, wonderful staff. The atmosphere is cozy and nice, certainly my absolute favorite coffee shop in Cavan.

20/04/2025: Great shop, the boss is great and also the mayor, on Sundays Super plays live music in the pub from 9 p.m., we had a great time and would love to come back every year.

06/03/2025: We arrived to belturbet last weekend of February Found this small bar on the main street Well I genuinely cannot say anything bad To the bar man Brendan, we salute you, kind, generous, knowledgeable, witty but his generosity holds no bounds, a brilliant pint of stout , and by God did a we put it to the test, brendan thank you, we owe you a debt of gratitude, may God bless you, and next year we will be back up to shoot the breeze, have the craic , from a happy Clare man.
