02/09/2025: You know when you see the adds for stunning burgers on tv that you never ever get from the company selling them? Well you won't have this problem with Smiths Diner. The food is amazing, fantastic service and a great menu selection for everyone. Highly recommended

10/08/2025: Horrible!! I ordered chocolate pancakes and the very middle was still doughy and uncooked and for some reason the chocolate chips were hard as rock. Not to mention the food took ages to come out and the fact it wasn’t properly cooked is disappointing. I also got a glass of water but the glass cup was absolutely filthy and dirty that there were particles inside the water. The workers were alright but looked very unwelcoming when getting the orders.

03/07/2025: Wow what can I say this evening I’ve gone in a different direction in this brilliant menu with so much choice. I’m a BIG believer of experimenting in the great menus Eastern Tandoori Virginia have and this evening I’m delighted with my choice. I went with the Seabass and to say I enjoyed the fabulous dish would be correct but more than that it melted in my mouth with a great flavour of tastes . The warm welcome that I received every time I enter the establishment is so welcoming and refreshing that can only make you want to come for more. I really want to award the fabulous front floor staff who always offer a friendly welcoming feeling and I also want to thank the GREAT Chef along with his kitchen Chefs on the Five Star Service they offer . Well done to the management of this great establishment I totally recommend you delicious restaurant. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

15/07/2025: A pannei and chips 12 euro is absolutely ridiculous and was nothing special a sandwich and a few chips as dear as a dinner how does that make any sense wouldn't return didn't like the girl looking after us and too expensive for what it was

23/06/2025: Stopped in for a few drinks to watch a match recently, had the sherry trifle, was fantastic and the service from Janet was fantastic also, a great experience overall!

22/06/2025: Visited today. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were really professional. Starter and dessert were both very good. The main was just okay — I had high expectations based on the reviews, but it didn’t quite deliver. My partner’s steak was blue inside instead of medium rare, with a few chunks of fat and no seasoning + no steak knife, which left him a bit frustrated. I’d return for the setting and service, but probably not for the food.

21/05/2025: I got to luckily photograph a wedding at this gorgeous little venue a couple of week ago. And if you're looking for a venue for a more intimate stress free wedding I can't recommend this enough. Amazing staff, quirky features well it was a post office which is so cool and the grounds are beautifully kept. looking forward to being back soon :) Andy @ forgedinlovephotography

20/08/2025: Visited for lunch passing through, based on tripadvisor review. Sat in outdoor area. Lots of positives but for me let down by crumbs everywhere. . A little cleaning spray and cleaning the seats with a cloth would make a big difference. Similarly when i walked inside Noted there was crumbs all over the floor .a quick sweep would go a long way. Food was nice . Bakery food looked delicious. Staff were friendly.

14/08/2025: We visited recently and the food exceptional. Noticed the restarant has had a major revamp. preferred it as it used to be, but quality seating, fittings, everything done to a real luxury standard all the same.The blonde haired lady who took our order is such a lovely friendly welcoming staff, and have always found her like this anytime we visit. Id imagine she is just that type of person, she would put you in good form.Just one thing that made our visit uncomfortable on the day was a swarm of wasps in the restaurant itself, while we were there a lady and her 2 kids left as she said that she has an anaphalactic reaction to stings and couldnt take the risk in staying . Another couple beside us were terrified at the thought of getting stung. never the less, this place is well worth a visit, amazing cakes, and bread to buy too.

14/08/2025: As ever, a gorgeous lunch was had in Chapter. The service is brilliant with such friendly and helpful staff. The new decor is gorgeous. Good parking and a lovely shop with a great range for getting gifts and trinkets. Local artists too.

08/08/2025: Popped in as in area researching our roots in the area. Came in, great food, lovely staff. Would recommend and will come back.

19/08/2025: Off road parking lovely rooms fantastic hostess. Nothing too much trouble, very friendly. Well worth a stay. Cater for anglers including drying room. Great place to stay. Easy to find in Bawnboy.

20/04/2025: Great shop, the boss is great and also the mayor, on Sundays Super plays live music in the pub from 9 p.m., we had a great time and would love to come back every year.
