Café Nua in

Stopped in on our drive home from a short holiday, needing a pitstop to refresh. Ended up being the tastiest food of our entire holiday, just delicious and hearty, super friendly staff. Had a lovely wee walk down to Turbet Island to walk off the brunch, but then ruined it by devouring maybe the greatest brownies we've ever had. Hope we get to stop by again some day!

Lovely artisan cafe that offers local fares...like sour dough bread from bakery in Meath. Not cheap but great quality 👌

Oh my.... What a find. Met my dad there today. He's a celiac and we were amazed to find they had gluten free bread and cake. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are lovely too. Highly recommended. We will be back ❤️❤️❤️

I can only comment on the cakes as I bought a bunch of them at a Sligo market. My goodness those cakes were delicious. So now I am definitely going to visit the Cafe!

Disappointed TBH We'd heard about Cafe Nua by chance and thought we'd give it a try when nearby. Being a long term and very regular visitor to Paris/France I was looking forward to sampling their patisserie. To start with we got some scones, nice but too dry. Then two patisserie, one lemon meringue and a triple chocolate dessert. Neither was up to standard, the former had no lemon zing to it, just sweet taste of all components , the latter, lacked in chocolate flavours and was just a creamy texture all the way through. Plus at €6.50 for the triple chocolate dessert, far too expensive. As I said, was disappointed.

Food was delicious and the pastries to die for! Coupled with lovely staff made for a great lunch outing with my daughter
