06/10/2024: Best latte in Cavan! Community atmosphere. Always included in everyone's conversations. Staff go above and beyond to chat and serve every customer. Freshly baked, top class products, clearly using the best ingredients and meats. I leave every week smiling and look forward to my treat the following week 🤗

Good prices which accounts for the slightly cramped but well designed modern and beautiful atmosphere
Sandwiches are good portion but spelt toast was a bit small
Price range 6-10 for a sandwich vs variant
Drinks 3-4.5 euros
Would recommend and please keep it up :)

11/11/2024: Coming from Cavan Town we made the decision to drop in here for food as it looked nice from the outside.
The bar man was nice and it was quiet. The place itself is nice and has an old style feel to it. Mens toilets are not great and could do with a good clean.
Food was nice, steak cut chips was a surprise for a bar menu charging €15.50 per head. However, they were a nice change. The only complaint I had was the lasagne was cold in the middle so I did not finish it. I did not complain to them as everything else was spot on and in fairness, lasagne can be a pain to heat throughout.
I wouldn’t let that stop me dropping in again. Well worth dropping in if you are passing

The staff were friendly enough and the price wasn’t bad for what you get.
Would I visit again? Yeah I would if I was in the area

23/03/2025: Our second time here and again the portions sizes were unbelievable especially for the price it cant be beaten it really cant the size of the fish could have fed the 3 of us and my wife's roast beef the same but the food was absolutely delicious i cant fault it all.

The staff is friendly. Basically, you won't be disappointed.

Lakeside Manor Hotel
16/03/2025: Just stopped for dinner 🍽 my wife had chicken, which was good, and I had Chowder. Well, that's what I asked for waterer soup with nearly no vegetables in it rubbery prawns and salmon no other fish. I often have sea food Chowder, but this was the worst I ever had.
04/03/2025: I attended a family birthday party on Saturday evening. The tables were laid out and decorated so beautifully it almost looked like a wedding. The staff were very attentive and efficient. The food was 10/10. Normally when I go somewhere and ask for my meat to be cooked well done it always has pink in it and I end up eating around it, but here the chef cooked it perfectly and I was able to enjoy a really delicious meal. After dinner the hotel laid on a Karaoke singer which just added to the great atmosphere on what was a brilliant night. I will definitely come again.

06/03/2025: I was working in the area yesterday and stopped for a quick lunch. Good food, caters for vegetarian diet, friendly staff, very reasonably priced. Oh, and tasty treats. Well worth a visit.

03/12/2024: I as really surprised by how good the food was and how friendly the staff were. We had a birthday party of 17 People and we had a nice sectioned off area to ourselves. The menu looked great all over and everyone complimented it. I had the chicken wings and then chicken curry. Both were tasty!
