The best restaurants in Cavan

02/09/2026: They did a great job hosting about 50 of us for some early wedding celebrations! Food was also very easy to arrange and reasonably priced and there was live music! if you are considering organising a large gathering, I would highly recommend this place for a stress free experience

30/08/2026: Myself and my wife eat at willows virginia on a regular basis staff are brilliant friendly and professional food is always excellent the owner is extremely friendly and brilliant with his staff i was a chef and restaurant manager for many years and would highly recommend willows top food staff and atmosphere 10/10

18/08/2026: apart from the fact that it can be a bit dear, the food is excellent and the busy place is busy for a reason. if you want crepes, waffle, a good sandwich or a quiche lorraine, you will have that and it's actually excellent.

06/08/2026: Staff were friendly and polite. The restaurant was nice and clean, plenty of seats available. The only gripe was the food, with some of it pre-cooked and reheated in a convection oven, and anemic toast. The tea was good though. I guess I expected more for €13 in total. Overall, not too bad

07/09/2026: Had a christening here recently and from the moment we walked in to get a price til the time we left we where treated so incredibly well, staff was so accommodating and pleasant and done there upmost to make our experience special, couldn't fault the food either we thoroughly enjoyed every bit, we will definitely be back again

07/08/2026: The sweetest, most beautifully decorated (so many quirky bits to love!) cafe in Ballyconnell and surrounding areas. Had Lorraine's breakfast boxty and you'd get up in the middle of the night for a plate, delicious. Brought home scones that went down an absolute treat. Staff were so friendly, happy to be there and clearly knew their customers which is so lovely to see and hear the banter. Only negative was that we couldn't stay longer but look forward to visiting again very soon. Thanks so much to both Lorraine and her staff for creating such a beautiful environment to sit and take a bit of time for ourselves.

02/07/2026: Friendly service and a delicious rhubarb tart. The café is also completely step-free and even has a wheelchair-accessible - and very clean - toilet. A big thumbs-up for thinking about customers who need a little extra accessibility. It’s great to see inclusivity being taken seriously.

18/08/2026: I was visiting ballyconnell with my wife and daughter on bank holiday weekend. We went to this pub and place looks impressive I ordered first round of drinks got no bother with that, but when I went to order again I was completely ignored. I waited at the bar for like 20/25 min. Everyone else around me was getting served but not me. I still don't understand what was there problem. In 26 years in Ireland I never was treated like that.

30/06/2026: Lovely Staff, very friendly and polite. However, their Donar Kebaborella may as well say its Suitable for Vegetarians. Barely any meat on it at all. My partners pizza was perfect. And I'm sure other foods are delightful. But that Kebab Pizza was such a let down 😅

09/08/2026: Very busy in there, no idea what was going on, just shuffling around in caos, no where to wait for coffee, couldn't get in or out. Expensive

14/07/2026: The chicken breast was some of the best I've had in my life. I had the cajun or chipotle chicken in a wrap. The sides that you can add to to a wrap are creative and tasty; the mozzarella balls, the chickpeas, the curried vegetables are all great. There is a nice outdoor eating area that is relaxing and well shaded. The people working there are hospitable and considerate.

25/01/2026: Amazing food, flawless service, beautiful restaurant. Left feeling perfectly looked after, pleasantly full and purely content. Had the scallop, venison special and apple tarte tatin. My husband had the special creme brûlée which he adored. Special shout to Niamh who was such a wonderful person and provided us with amazing service. Will 100% be back! Absolutely gem of a restaurant

18/09/2026: Horrendous place to eat, no staff and food was mediocre at best 😢

12/09/2026: Was in KFC today with my family the works weren't very friendly and when we got the wrong food from what we ordered the staff said it was or fault I also seen another man go back with hes food saying it wasn't what he ordered and the said the same thing to him I won't be going to this KFC again if that how it's works talk to the customer's

12/06/2026: Just went into their off-licence to buy bottles of Heineken FOURTY FIVE EURO for 24 bottles. Went to Centra and got 20 bottles for €24. Like honestly why bother having an off-licence if you’re going to charge double than the other off-licences in Kingscourt!!!

24/06/2026: Had a great iced coffee and the staff were lovely.

11/08/2026: Got here at 10:20. Door was locked. Two employees were still in the store with the lights on but chose to ignore me. Waited till 10:30 and nothing. Ridiculous and disrespectful.
