Angler's Rest in Ballyconnell

I had a wonderful meal last evening. The staff were excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The food was absolutely top‑class, full of flavour and great portions. Prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. A brilliant experience from start to finish. Staff, food, and price all 💯.

Came back to this great eating pub after 6 years, really friendly welcome,had onion rings for starters and huge sirloin steaks cooked rare for main, the onion rings were really freshly cooked,hot and crispy and the steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted great,one of the best steaks I have had in a long time, all the staff are helpful and friendly and I can't recommend this place enough,it does get busy at peak evening times but they turn the tables round really quickly, not the cheapest meal but so worth it.

Stopped off for something to eat on my travels, possibly the best fish iv ever had , I nearly ordered another one , very friendly staff too

Excellent restaurant... wonderful friendly staff...good wholesome food...high quality ingredients and a chef who knows just what to do with them...we were staying in the area for a few days walking and had dinner here every evening...lots to choose from and it never disappointed... I would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Had a beautiful meal yesterday evening, Sean was a fantastic host with his team ,food was delicious and lots of it served very quickly and tablet service was second to none Maggie was a star as usual Thank you we will be back 👍

I recently had a short visit to Ballyconnell and stayed at The Anglers Rest. The service was excellent all round. I was very happy with all the staff and the warm, friendly service they provided. The beer tastes great, the food is wonderful and plentiful (the best hot breakfast I've had in a while). My room was very clean and comfortable. Definitely keen to stay there again.

I enjoyed a fabulous celebratory dinner here on my solo trip to Ireland. I was well taken care of by the bartender and also my waitress, Leah. The food was great and the company even greater. Thanks for a great evening !
