Nice hotel very clean with great facilities

Stopped in here for a really quick dinner on my way through. Service was fantastic, really quick. I had the salmon ans creme rules and both were delicious. Very generous portion of creme brulee.

Just back yesterday from a 2 night stay in cavan crystal. Lovely hotel. We'd stayed here before a few times. Staff are excellent. Food amazing. We had the dinner package, omg starter portions are huge, I'd also the curry have to say the best curry I've ever had. Would come back just for the curry. Such great value. Also breakfast outstanding. So hot and fresh. Want to acknowledge a member of staff a gentleman called John, served us at lunch and at breakfast. What a truly lovely person always had a smile on his face. A true asset to the hotel. All the staff we encountered were lovely. I'd only 2 little negatives one being our room 202 an executive king the curtains don't close across the window so light floods in through the window first thing. Not sure why as curtains there but rail stops each side of small window. There is a blind but doesn't stop light in the morning. Other thing for an executive king room I'd have thought the shower might b separate but it's in the bath. Pity but nevertheless enjoyed my stay. Keep up the good work.

We just arrived home from a 2 night bed and breakfast and 1 dinner deal at Cavan Crystal Hotel in Cavan. We ( 4 couples) had a wonder couple of days in this fabulous hotel. The hotel accommodation was clean and warm and whilst there was an issue with one of the showers, this was dealt with right away by a wonderful housekeeper who had a service man up as we spoke and he dealt with the problem. Indeed, this professionalism and efficiency was shown by all staff throughout the hotel and leisure facilities The dining room and bar on the ground floor share the same area. Tnis is not always ideal when the dining room is busy and you have to move to another area to enjoy your drink. That said, a hats off to Food and Beverage Manager who as soon as he knew we were in the lobby area, immediately opened another area, put on the heat, music and soft lighting for us. Drinks order was taken and within 15 minutes he ( Gavin) had a table of 8 for us in the dining /bar area. His management of the food and beverage services was excellent throughout the 2 days, an absolute credit to the hotel. Would we go back? Absolutely, excellent food and well composed menus, lovely facilities, but most of all, it is the superb staff who make this hotel so hospitable. Well done to all involved.

Thank you for the hospitality! Nice atmosphere and staff, the room was clean. I liked the playground for children. Thank you for the breakfast, it was delicious, the only thing that was missing for breakfast was cappuccino, maybe the coffee maker just broke... but everything else is great.

Great help when government left the people of Cavan alone and unaided after the storm, allowed us to charge our phones etc,provided heat and food for us and quite frankly we're a saviour to many.Will not be forgotten in the future and should be frequented by all as a truly deserving and caring business. There are not enough stars on the scale that should be awarded to this establishment.

Booked by third party, food allowance wasnt given even after providing the email booking where it clearly stated it. Was then given contrary booking form that stated different, but this was for a different guest. This is not the first time its happened when i stayed there. Serving staff were top class, rooms clean and plenty of space.

The Cavan Crystal is a lovely hotel, with lovely staff and nice facilities. However, to call it a 4 star is a bit far fetched. When we arrived the radiators in the room were absolutely belting heat out, making it impossible to sleep in there. You cannot turn them off yourself. I needed the manager to come in and turn it off with a screwdriver and pliers. In the room (which I was sharing), there also was only one towel. During dinner in the evening, the service was sub par in my honest opinion. we had to wait nearly an hour for the bill to come to us, with staff looking tired and worn out, even though it did not appear to be busy at all. I cannot stress enough however, the fact that they were lovely, and chatty and were patient with my large family. finally, in the morning, I also ordered a full Irish breakfast, and no hash brown came with it, even though it said it would. A small gripe, but a gripe none the less. in conclusion, it's a lovely place to stay, but calling a 4 star hotel is a bit of a stretch.

Went here for Sunday lunch. It was very busy but no staff member made you feel that way. The food was delicious and the area we ate in was lovely.

Less customer service during serving dishes for the customer service. No vegan option, but dish with rice and sauce mixed with steamed veggies.
