02/07/2025: Only been in the latch once but the variety on the menu and food quality was ecxellent. Very reasonably priced, offering great value for money.

10/04/2025: The Latch has an excellent Chicken Curry that is nice sweet and tangy. It's in a quiet town with a nice relaxed atmosphere.

13/07/2025: I don't give 5 stars,but Lake of shadows they deserve that rating. Staff was very helpful and welcoming, we check in, Laura was very welcoming. Paddy, the barman, brought a smile 😃 to our face.

10/07/2025: The hotel’s location is its only redeeming feature; otherwise, it was deeply disappointing. I stayed here with my family for a business trip, booked by my company, leaving me no choice. The room was extremely dusty, with spider webs near the windows and small spiders on the bed. I started itching as soon as I got into bed, and it felt like the room hadn’t been cleaned in months. The phone was also dead, forcing us to go to the reception at night just to request water. Most alarmingly, a staff member entered our room without permission or knocking while my wife was alone, casually asking if we needed anything. This was unacceptable and unsettling, especially since she forgot to lock the door. Management must train staff to respect guests’ privacy and practice basic manners. Additionally, loud snoring from a nearby room disturbed our sleep. We planned to stay for two nights but left a day early due to these issues. I will not return to this hotel and strongly advise management to address these serious concerns.

28/06/2025: Personal hosco que te hizo sentir que te estaban haciendo un favor al “servirte”, a pesar de que el lugar estaba vacío y no estaban ocupados en absoluto, como lo testificó la cantidad de tiempo que los dos servidores estuvieron en sus teléfonos mientras “daban la bienvenida” a los clientes. Posiblemente el peor café con leche que he probado y cuyo sabor no podía ocultarse con abundantes cantidades de azúcar. No creas que nos apresuremos a regresar.

28/06/2025: The vibe inside is very cute, but my husband and I had very different experiences. He LOVED his sandwich, but mine was disgusting. The best part was the gluten free bread surprisingly. The bacon and the egg were practically inedible, which my husband found out when he tried mine after wondering why I wasn’t eating much. At the least the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious!

09/07/2024: Simple and good. Very friendly staff! Watched football on TV with great sound. We had two meals, the burger which was great and the steak sandwich which unfortunately was disappointing to me as the steak was not so good... as it is listed as one of the specialtys of the house that should've done better! But had an overall great evening.

18/06/2025: This restaurant is a true gem in the heart of Tuam. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and the food is excellent—just like home-cooked meals. The owner is very friendly, and it’s a pleasure to chat with her. A word of advice: don’t leave this restaurant without trying the profiterole—it’s absolutely amazing!

11/07/2025: Nos detuvimos en The Tea Rooms en Straffan para disfrutar de un brunch relajado de fin de semana y quedamos absolutamente encantados. El entorno es hermoso, luminoso y aireado, con una atmósfera cálida y acogedora que te invita a quedarte un rato tomando un café. El menú del brunch tiene algo para todos. Pedimos aguacate machacado con huevos escalfados y una guarnición de pan integral casero: estaba fresco, perfectamente cocinado y lleno de sabor. También pedimos un desayuno irlandés completo, que fue uno de los mejores que hemos probado, elaborado con ingredientes de calidad y nada grasoso. El café era excelente y también tenían una encantadora selección de tés de hojas sueltas para elegir, lo que me pareció un buen detalle. El personal fue amable y atento, registrándonos sólo lo necesario sin apresurarnos. Los precios eran muy razonables para la calidad y las porciones eran generosas. Muy recomendable si estás en la zona y buscas un brunch relajado y delicioso en un entorno encantador. ¡Seguro que volveremos! Asegúrate de dejar un poco de tiempo para echar un vistazo a la recién inaugurada Life Store Straffan, justo al lado de Tea Rooms, una fabulosa tienda llena de muchas marcas irlandesas de lujo.

11/07/2025: Estaba muy concurrido cuando llegamos pero logramos conseguir una mesa. Nuestro servidor fue amable y eficiente. La comida como siempre fue excelente. Preciosa selección de opciones sin gluten, lo cual fue genial para nuestro grupo, ya que teníamos personas con intolerancias.

12/07/2025: We stayed a couple nights in the hotel and had a mixed experience. It’s safe and well located, which is what we wanted. The area outside is very loud at night, so it’s perfect if you’re visiting for the nightlife. However the room got very hot, so we needed to open the windows for a breeze, and plenty of bad live music and cigarette smoke came in with the breeze. The staff were all very kind and helpful, but we had several issues. For one, they programmed our room keys wrong at first, and our room also ran out of toilet paper. The biggest red flag was that the shower gel in the dispenser smelled atrocious, as if it was contaminated with something. Despite the issues, I had no major concerns, and I think it would have been a cozy stay on a cool fall day with the windows shut.

22/06/2025: Siamo nella contea di Kerry...qui è tutto più caro. Il Glenbeigh Hotel è stata una scelta azzeccata per rapporto qualità prezzo: camere pulitissime, ottimo ristorante, colazione super!!! Straconsigliato!!!!

14/06/2025: Our expectations were well and truly exceeded at the Glenbeigh Hotel during our recent stay there, ( June 2025.) We all, my wife, son and daughter-in-law found this quirky 400 year old coaching house quite by accident and were delighted to have done so. Plenty of helpful, knowledgeable staff on hand to accommodate our every desire. Charming rooms, gardens, and food make this hotel a "must" for any traveller while they explore County Kerry. In our view The Genbeigh sets the standard for hotels.

30/06/2025: The Merry Monk serves excellent pub food at reasonable prices. We frequented on a couple of occasions during our stay in the area. I can recommend the carvery

16/06/2025: Stopped off here in our motorhome as they allow campers & motorhomes to overnight in the car park if you eat in. Food was very good, excellent quality, fresh & very tasty with friendly staff. Can highly recommend.
