05/08/2026: Absolutely fabulous place, quaint and had a great atmosphere. Beautiful harbour view from the restaurant. Staff could not have done enough for us. Food was delicious. Will be back.

31/07/2026: Imagine this: you call and ask to reserve a table. They tell you: “no reservations, but you’ll find a table right away when you get here”. Then you do get there and a rude manager asks: “did you book a table?”. Then tells you in a rough tone that you have to wait, at the bar, 20 minutes for your table. And when you seem perplexed, he adds, even more rudely: “wherever else you want to go, it’s at least a 20 minutes drive, so just wait and chill out”. Such a disappointment, do not make the mistake of deciding to go there. And in a 15 minutes drive from that place, we found a very good and welcoming restaurant.

07/07/2026: Staff could use more initiative i.e. If a guest has a query regarding spa they could ring them rather than suggesting the guest trek all the way down to ask their question. Room could have been cleaner. View amazing. Spa amazing.

06/10/2026: Brought a class of Transition Years to GROW HQ. It was a great day. They students learn so much about food, growing and healthy eating. The veggie soup was delicious.

02/10/2026: Beautiful coffee and farm to fork ethos. Would benefit from a vegan pastry or treat to go with coffee besides energy ball. Love Grow, had a lovely morning there and will be back soon.

20/08/2026: Service was ok. Food quite poor. Nice enough chips. Had steak sandwich, steak was overcooked, very very thin, so I guess nearly impossible to cook it medium rare. Had to ask for pepper sauce as it didn't come with it. Definitely the stingiest steak in a steak sandwich I have ever had. Person serving us was apologetic about the steak being well done rather than medium rare. Due to the time constraints, I didn't send the sandwich back and eat and paid for it. Mushroom vol-au-vent was tasty, but contained very little chicken. The pub must be in the serious cost cutting stage as prices are on par with everywhere else but very little protein for your money here. Card machine didn't work (signs displayed so assume that machine doesn't work permanently). We had to pay for food and drinks separately even though everything was ordered and served together. All in all, would not go back and regretted eating here. Do not recommend for more than chips and a drink.

12/10/2026: We had lunch here, and it was our first time eating rice during our three-week trip to Ireland. The Indian curry 🍛 with long-grain rice and naan was both appetizing and delicious. The daily special mushroom soup 🍄 was rich with mushroom flavor and very savory; we really enjoyed it. The Asian waitress was very professional and polite—thanks to her for the service 🌹 It was a satisfying and enjoyable lunch experience. 😊

24/08/2026: A lovely restaurant with delicious food. From start to finish a very enjoyable experience. The dessert was so nice I had to taste it before I took photo. I didn't get the girls name that waited on our table but she was a pleasure.

18/10/2026: I came to visit the city and happened to pass by this bar; I didn't expect much, but I decided to stop in for a drink—and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is incredible, the food really impressed me, and the overall quality of the place is amazing.

15/04/2026: My family stayed in the Riverside Hotel recently while my husband was attending hospital. We have stayed here several times, but this stay especially warranted a review. The lady at reception, Erin, quite literally moved heaven and earth for us. She went above and beyond to help us. She is an absolute credit to the hotel! A lovely woman, the hotel is blessed to have her!

18/07/2026: Ordered Party Food from Miss Ellie's! It was fabulous- all the guests were raving about it! Food arrived fresh and hot.

16/07/2026: We recently got party food delivered from Amy at Miss Ellies for my sons Christening, food was outstanding. We are 15 minutes drive from town the food arrived dead on time and was piping hot. We got more food than we needed there wasnt a thing left, all our guests complimented how good the food was and the mini battered sausages were a massive hit. I wouldn't go anywhere else now for party food and ive often attended events where Miss Ellies supplied the food and its always been delicious.

05/05/2026: Im guessing this is a fair review. Be careful might be closed. This pub was closed due to death by owner.... Bit of a sticky situation we were told. But the nearby gas station has beer.
