10/10 would dine again, Ionut is the man and the unit, great server, if you get him you’ll have a great time

Myself and my partner had dinner at the Sika restaurant during our stay in Powerscourt. The service was really good. The food was good - however the carrots (side dish) we were served weren’t fully cooked. Our main issue was the cocktails. We have been to Powerscourt hotel restaurants a number of times and the shaken (non-spritz) cocktails always disappoint. For the price of the cocktails and the fact this is a high star hotel - you look forward to a well made drink. The establishment needs to higher a head mixologist to instruct the bar staff how to make cocktails - it’s not that difficult.

We choose the Sika restaurant to treat our mother for a big numbered birthday. We were not mistaken in our choice from our warm greeting to the incredible food served through all courses of the meal and finally to all the staff. I have to call out Ionut who took looked after us so well all evening, with Bogdan and Andrea also. The room and setting is ideal for a grand meal of this nature. Would highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back in the not to distant future.

Staying at the Powerscourt we had reservations on Mother’s Day. The Sika has a fixed menu. We both had the two for 70 euro, and it was plenty of food. Overall a great experience. Being from Canada and having great beef, the quality was good but I’ve had much better. Service was excellent and loved the ambiance. Overall a little expensive, but for me, worth it.
