We were camping on the island. The rain was pretty relentless so we headed to the community centre bar and restaurant. Spent a very pleasant evening having dinner & drinks. The band came on around 10pm and the place was hopping til 0200h. Good food & nice pints!

The main place on the island and this t8me I was very impressed. Staff numbers have improved and the fish and chips were excellent. The Tuesday night music was very good as were the p8nts.

We came for a snack outside, super nice and very very good. All the options on the menu were no longer available, so she offered us something else.

This a great spot. Lovely bar and the food was good. We hit a busy time during the holidays and the place was packed. The kitchen was suffering with demand, and orders were mixed up and quite delayed. However the girls were doing their best and on another day it would have been great. Clean toilets and enough seating inside and out.

Great food! Also, the view sitting outside isnt so bad either. If you visit Clare Island, get past the little bistro right off the pier, and head to The Anchor Bar located at the community center.

Avoca Moll's Gap

12/04/2026: This was a nice gift shop. The bathrooms were clean and there was a good selection of drinks and snacks. Souvenir shopping was also good. I was a little disappointed in some of the pricing. Staff was helpful when needed.
05/04/2026: A perfect sanctuary after a challenging drive through the narrow mountain passes of the Ring of Kerry. We stopped here for a much-needed coffee after navigating roads so narrow that two cars could barely pass, requiring constant maneuvering through the passing places. ​The scenery at the foot of the mountains is breathtaking, and the coffee was the perfect reward for the 'toils of the road.' A must-stop for anyone tackling Moll's Gap—just stay focused on those bends! 5/5
