Ashtons Gastropub in Dublin

Really like this pub. Had been many times for drinks but recently finally had the Steak which was great. Bar staff are very friendly and enjoy the chill vibe of Tom's Bar and the Terrace

We chose Ashton's as our family wedding venue, and it was absolutely fantastic. The layout worked seamlessly for the flow of the day. The large downstairs function room was ideal for the initial reception and speeches, while the upstairs restaurant provided a superb setting for the meal. The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly professional throughout. Later in the evening, the downstairs room transitioned perfectly for music and dancing. A standout feature was the large patio overlooking the River Dodder—it offered a fantastic, quieter space for guests to step away and catch up. The management team was completely in control, executing the planning to perfection. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Had a really chill and relaxed time at Ashtons in Clonskeagh. Dave behind the bar was really nice, friendly and accommodating, which made the whole visit even better. The chefs were also very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good, and the pints were spot on too. 🍻 Overall, a really enjoyable and laid-back place. I’d definitely come back again!

Went for dinner on a Sunday evening. We got the Sausage with Mash and a Cheeseburger. Food was excellent, service was lovely and food arrived quickly. Bartender was very knowledge and pleasant. The atmosphere was like a country pub in Dublin. Would return!

Excellent service. Great setting. Great service. Food….poor. All dishes far too salty. Chefs and cooks in the kitchen MUST taste before dishes go out to customers. Very poor for hefty prices. The sauce with the pork chop was terrible. The chefs idea of a rich sauce missed the mark altogether. Several oxo cubs with a few spoon fulls of marmite that completely blew the head off only left you gulping down the water. And a pork chop cut in strips so it was dry by the time it arrived at the table. Come on lads!!! Anyway, the service kept it going and that’s what I was thankful for….at least.

Recommend this place, very homely, great staff and plenty on duty whilst I was there.

Extensive upgrade sin ce I was last around - very impressive. Looks like it caters for every event. Well run.

One of the best restaurants my family and I have ever been to! We are from the United States and we went here for lunch. Margaret was our server and she was absolutely delightful. we had some bites, and dessert and everything was excellent. The restaurant is a cultural space full of art and history. I am totally going back to this spot before I go back home to the States, but this is a space I will never forget!

12.50 for a glass of house wine. I said to the bar man 12.50? And he responded " do you think that's expensive" and laughed. Nice outdoor area but for that price you might as well be in temple bar
