Extraordinary spot relaxed excellent food amazing friendly and warm staff tasteful and elegant atmosphere

Nice pub but it's a pity that the chef isn't confident cooking vegetarian dishes.

Beautiful meal here on May bank holiday Monday in a group of 7. Great menu, food was delicious. Service and atmosphere great! Can’t wait to come back.

We stopped at Ashtons and we're really pleasantly surprised by the old world nature of the place. Cosy atmosphere and very pleasant staff. I'll be back.

Food was OK but not worth the price. The portions were large but really lacked flavour and imagination. My €18 Prawn Cocktail was a load of big and small prawns with a very standard sauce on a load of rough cut ice berg lettuce. There was loads of water on the lettuce. No presentation effort whatsoever. The Monkfish portion in my main was a good size and cooked well. The apple crumble desert was all crumble and little apple but done the USA way with loads of Cinnamon masking all other flavours.

Food, staff setting and decor all amazing. Went for Sunday roast. Had the beef and it was 10/10. Better roast than the butcher's grill in Ranelagh imo.

I had or tasted - ricotta and beetroot salad, needed more beetroot and less ricotta, also more seasoning. - scallops, perfect, melt in the mouth texture (also tiny), very savoury sauce. - steak, beautiful, this is what they are known for - creamed leeks, lovely, maybe a tad too much black pepper - mash, gorgeous - chips, very nice - sticky toffee pudding, disappointing, sponge was hard at the edges, difficult to get the spoon through even in the middle and the sauce was too dark and heavy for me. Cost included drinks and tip.

Reserved the snug for 8 of us, Saturday night just drinks. Staff are so friendly, lovely welcome and barman was great. Looked after us so well. Cool hatch from the snug , at the end of the bar. We'd a great night, the atmosphere and staff made it. Tab behind the bar made it easy to order as a group and just split the bill, end of night. Daughter also had day 2 downstairs, food and staff, as well as the venue were faultless. Great place with great staff

Dropped in for a drink in a Friday afternoon, very friendly, great service. Dog friendly in the bar when we visited! Food menu looks nice also.

We hosted a party for 170 friends in “The Arts Club”at Ashtons last weekend. We had the best experience we possibly could have had. Everything was so well managed and executed, the room lends itself to a gathering of that size. The food was great, we had chosen some cocktails that were delicious and also had a full bar that was fully staffed so there was no waiting for drinks . All the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and professional.
