Great find, very good service, and food was fabulous especially the potato skins.

Absolutely fantastic experience at The Cloughan Inn! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome by the friendly and professional staff. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed and perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. The food was outstanding – fresh, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The portions were generous and every dish was cooked to perfection. It's clear that great care goes into both the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the meals. The service was excellent throughout our visit. The staff were attentive, polite and always happy to help, making sure everything was just right without being intrusive. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, comfortable and offers excellent value for money. It is easy to see why so many people recommend this place. If you're looking for delicious home-cooked food, generous portions and genuine Irish hospitality, The Cloughan Inn is definitely worth a visit. We will certainly be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mullingar or travelling through Westmeath. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful dining experience!

Always great food here, quality guinness too

Legitimately the best wings I've had in ages. They are super crispy/crunchy, yet still saucy. The fish and chips were absolutely delish. What a hidden surprise

I visited with a group of friends for Tea and Scones. Lovely inviting lounge, Delicious Scones, piping hot drinks and spotless toilets. Jolene then gave us a most interesting talk which helped make our visit most enjoyable. Keep up the good work.

From the outside it looks more like a rest stop; the food is a bit pricey but excellent quality! We were very surprised.

We discovered this place on TikTok and are so glad we did. It’s a really lovely, quiet spot with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, which made for a very relaxed atmosphere. We started with the potato skins, which were generous enough to share between two, and followed with the steak sandwich and burger, along with a side salad and fries. The food was absolutely incredible—full of flavour and excellent value for money. Service was quick and efficient, and the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.
