06/06/2026: Chocolate Heaven with a Lovely Lunch Twist! Torc Longford is definitely a must-visit for chocolate lovers,their chocolate treats are irresistible. But don’t skip the lunch menu! The chicken and mushroom pie, is a winner, packed with filling, rich, and creamy. One tiny downside: the seats are closely packed. You’ll enjoy your meal… until someone at the next table starts sharing their entire life story. Yep, you’ll know everything about them before you leave (even if you’d rather not 😉). Bottom line: Great food, amazing chocolate, and a cozy (if slightly snug) atmosphere. Bring a chocolate-loving friend and enjoy the pie!

04/07/2026: Not what we expected from looking at the menu layout. The place is a glorified fast food joint. That's it. Food is ok. Service was good. It's good for something quick and cheerful.

15/06/2026: We've always gone here. It's always been on the dear side but the portions and food has always been worth it. I don't mind paying if the food is good and I leave feeling full. Now it's not worth it. The food is great still but they have them plates with the big wide rim and the wee bowl part in the middle. So basically you're leaving hungry. The portions have got smaller and the prices haven't.

06/07/2026: A beautiful restaurant as part of the Headfort hotel in heart of kells , always a favourite of mine , excellent food and drinks and friendly service by top class staff , definitely worth a visit , Fiona looked after us very well along with her colleague , thank you

13/06/2026: It was my first time in Vanilla Pod restaurant, and I can say it was a wonderful experience, not only because of the great service, but the food was delicious 😋. It is difficult to describe how good it was. I order 3 course meals, but it is charged separately, I mean, for the dinner there is no option to choose 2 or 3 course as you can find it on the early bird menu. Although there is not a option, I strongly recommend the dinner in Vanilla Pod restaurant! Team are friendly (congratulations Caroline! Sorry I don't remember all the staff's names!). Only the atmosphere was loudly, maybe because there were 3 celebrations at the same time. Anyway, I will come back, definitely! Special because I couldn't try the Pork in the main menu (they served all the portions at the time I got in the restaurant). Congratulations, guys for good quality and good service!

26/06/2026: All the battered food was amazing. However one should be able to choose the grade of spices for the Asian dishes. There is a choose for vegan food. The service staff was very attentive and could alter an order on short notice which was lovely. The garden is large and contains animal statues.

10/05/2026: Bad experience. I asked for my meal with gravy on the side. It came smothered in gravy. It had to be sent back. My partner was half way through his meal before i had mine returned

03/07/2026: I don't like leaving a bad reviews but for 56 euro I would expect better, the sauce with the smoked sausage dreadful, the chicken tenders overcooked and the chips were that overcooked hardly any spud in them. The wings were lovely in the Korean sauce but the other bbq sauce was awful watery and just not nice. The wee girl that served us was lovely, looking from the outside I was excited to try this place but to be honest never again, all these 5 stars id love to know what they were on before they went in because the experience they got to what we received was like day and night. SHAME
