02/06/2025: Called in for lunch and the staff were very welcoming and suggested we sit inside with our dog rather than outside. Food was excellent. My wife had roasted aubergine and I had Toulouse sausage with the most amazing onion gravy. Beautiful old building. Dog very happy he was given a dog biscuit and bowl of water without asking. Despite the pricing very good value for money. I don't give good reviews very often so this is a welcome change. Thanks Coach House.

01/06/2025: What can I say about this gem? I feel I’ve fallen into a photo shoot of the world’s coziest and chicest inns. The food is spectacular, the terms remind you of your grandmothers sleeping porch, the bar draws you in for a long sit and a game of cards in the corner.

21/05/2025: Stopped here for dinner - I had chicken wings, daughter had chicken strips or gougon as they are called here - the chef knows what he is doing - dara was our server and was helpful with tourist advice and where to stay

26/05/2025: Vi havde bestilt bord og det var nok en god ide Det var lørdag aften og her var travlt, dejligt at se. Vi fik god service og virkelig dejlig mad. To hovedretter- steak sandwich med chips og en omgang cajun kylling med pasta og hvidløgsbrød. Til dessert- death by chocolate - en lækker chokoladekage med vaniljeis og chokolade sauce. En perfekt aften.

05/05/2025: Came with my fiancée. Despite We were ignored for the first five minutes after entering the restaurant. The food is where I’m really confused. I had the mussels to start — they came in a lovely pot designed to keep the heat in, but the mussels were cold. Some had broken shells and hadn’t been cleaned properly. I had to stop eating them because they were cold and barely coated in a thin layer of sauce. Nobody came back to check on us during the starter. I ordered the fillet steak with crispy red onion rings. The steak was perfectly cooked and fell apart — really well done. The onion rings were so nice I ordered more, but when the second batch came out, they were cold, dry, and clearly not fresh. When we went to pay the bill, we weren’t even asked if we enjoyed our meal. The mussels were still on the bill, even though we told the waiter they tasted off. We felt very unwelcome the entire time, likely because we weren’t locals. I’d avoid this place if you want cold food and warm drinks.

27/04/2025: We had such a wonderful dinner here last Wednesday celebrating my daughterJennifer and Jorges wedding. This was the first celebration of their wedding and Fergal and everyone at the Boathouse made it so special where we gathered for dinner with Jorges family from La Nucia, Spain. Perfect venue with great food, beautiful location and relaxed atmosphere. Special thanks to Patrick too.

18/05/2025: A great Gastro pub. Service was spot on . The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was great and didn't cost the world. The pints were perfect and the atmosphere was hard to beat. Loved the log fire. Will return.

06/05/2025: This café was a great place to take a short break and find some peace in the middle of Dublin. We walked from the castle and found great gift shops other boutiques on our way. The atmosphere was really pleasant, and while seating depends on how busy it is, the side seats are definitely the best if you can get one. Prices are also reasonable, making it a nice and affordable stop during the day. Cute tableware as well!!

01/04/2025: ¡Qué placer! Vine aquí para una celebración de cumpleaños y no puedo esperar a volver aquí. ¡Siento que se acerca una nueva tradición! El sábado 29 de marzo, a las 14: 30, vine aquí a tomar el té de la tarde con mi novio por su cumpleaños, y oh chico fue una delicia. En primer lugar, el servicio fue excelente. Lucy, nuestra excelente servidora nos llevó a nuestra mesa y nos explicó todo, y lo que realmente se me quedó fue cuando dijo "el cielo es el límite" y seguro que lo fue! ¡Tuviste que sacarme de ahí! El sándwich abierto feta batido era uno de nuestros favoritos, al igual que la rodaja de frambuesa pistacho, simplemente para MORIR. ¡Nuestro té favorito tenía que ser el whisky irlandés y la crema! Todas nuestras necesidades fueron atendidas en términos de más alimentos, condimentos y tés. La decoración era impresionante y nos dieron los mejores asientos de la casa! Nuestro día fue realmente especial.

13/03/2025: Servicio extremadamente decepcionante en el salón Lord Mayors para el té de la tarde - nos apresuró a salir por la puerta antes de que nuestro tiempo asignado se terminó quería el pago antes de que termináramos, el personal grosero - cuando lo traje a la atención de los hoteles que lo cepilló - no volverá y era un cliente habitual - el servicio se ha ido cuesta abajo. Es una lástima ya que la comida y la decoración son fabulosas

12/05/2025: I came to Kilkenny Design with zero intentions of falling in love. And yet—bam! There it was. The most ridiculously beautiful orange mohair and cashmere blanket, just lounging on a shelf like it owned the place. I touched it once and knew: this was no ordinary blanket. This was a life decision. It's soft. Like dangerously soft. Like "cancel your plans and stay in with this blanket forever" soft. I wrapped it around myself and instantly became 34% more elegant and 89% more unwilling to leave the couch. The staff? Delightful. They didn’t even judge me when I whispered “you’re coming home with me” to a blanket in public. I would emotionally imprint on another textile here again.

18/04/2025: Great lunch So I ordered panini with chips for lunch. It was about €11/12 but my goodness it was worth every cent. If you can see my photos you'll see what I mean - a seriously full plate! 2 packed and very tasty paninis, a nice portion of chips, good portions of coleslaw and potato salad (both delicious), some rice, and a helping of salad too. My friend got a roll and he was very impressed too. There's no empty plate here upon service. Great food, great value and great taste and the ladies who work there are nice - would definitely return again. Even if the toilets upstairs seriously need some improvement. Just the one toilet, the light doesn't work so if you need to be private and close the door you're sitting in the dark. Otherwise you're exposed to any passers by. Lucky them! And the chef sometimes sits at the front ... just sitting there looking grumpy. Oh well, if he continues making food that good I'm not going to complain.

08/05/2025: Lovely place with great views over the harbour,sat outside with our two dogs,St Bernard and pumi,as thought they may have been a bit in the way as they were still serving food They serve food from twelve thirty till nine. Spoke to a very helpful lady from there the following morning who was busy hosing the gardens which are lovely and spacious with loads of seating, thank you so much for your kindness,the dogs really appreciated it.

04/05/2025: Two of us went for dinner, nice local restaurant, friendly professional staff. The menu had great options for starters and mains. The food was top notch. Full of flavour and well presented. We will definitely return. 10/10
