Carvery is only OK, can definitely get a lot better around. Gravy was not rich and a bit watery, got a half portion and asked for a Yorkshire Pudding they said no only if I pay for a full portion. Little bit tight as I only got meat potatoes and carrots. Good service but wouldn’t be back for the carvery.

They make the nicest bread and butter dessert. Definitely would go back. Generous soup and bread portions too. Lovely coffee.

My local, busy pub, decent staff, I marked a star off for the lack of windows, also my kids are coeliac and they weren't very helpful with this unlike other pubs in the area where they would at least be able to fry some chips or something for them.

Scholars Pub in Dublin 24 is a nice spot to stop by for a quick bite and a drink. The quick bites are pretty good and perfect if you just want something simple. And of course, the Guinness is awesome, but then again, Guinness is great everywhere in Dublin! Nice casual atmosphere overall.

The Bailey

09/05/2026: The food was good and the atmosphere nice, mostly thanks to the staff. There is a large choice of drinks, the latte was heart-warming, it reminded me of home
06/05/2026: This place is a bit rustic, if you like that sort of restaurant then it's ok. The food was only mediocre but service was fine. It's a good place for (celeb!) spotting. You can either sit outside (nice in summer, a bit cold in winter) but you'll suffer the cold if you are the type who likes spotting who's who! It's a very popular pub and well known, a busy place. I personally wouldn't go for the food fare and was visiting it only because I was meeting relations who love to hang out in the Bailey. Especially on Xmas Eve.

Craft

03/11/2025: We had the Chef’s Menu at Craft and it was absolutely outstanding – incredible value at €39 for the quality and amount of food. You get to taste everything, and honestly, we couldn’t pick a favourite starter because they were all so good. We had the pork chop main - so good and as always the roast potatoes were unreal! From the brown bread right through to dessert, every dish was delicious. We’re so lucky to have this place in Harold’s Cross – can’t recommend it enough! The service deserves a mention too - really lovely atmosphere. Well done to all at Craft. We will be back soon.
