The Wheelhouse Cafe in Fethard-on-sea

What can I say. We were looking for somewhere to have dinner on a Wednesday night in Fethard. Having walked the length of the high street we stumbled on The Wheelhouse. From the outside I wasn't expecting the excellent food and service we got. C had a Mackerel salad and I had the Nut Roast about which I am very picky but it was superb. When we return next year we will be back for dinner. Back again for dinner after a long drive Still superb

I love this place. The food is always so tasty and its very good value. There are great gluten free options (GF chicken curry, bread and sausages). The staff are welcoming. It's very casual, but it's cosy, and there's lovely seating outside. I look forward to coming here everytime we're in the area.

The staff were friendly and the sitting area was nice We got caesar salad which was average

Scalding hot coffee. Kids burnt chips , double dipped. Breakfast was stone cold, bread had a bad taste from It . Staff very inexperienced, slow as a wet week. not clued in at all. First and last time unfortunately.

A grand spot altogether. We had dinner outside at a large covered picnic table. The food was good and there’s loads of choice on the menu. Great space outside for kids to run around.

All of the girls working here are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food is great, affordable and tasty. Would highly recommend.

Another great lunch! A simple, yet hearty bowl of soup with delicious brown bread reasonably priced. For desert, what else but an "Eton Mess"! Simply the best!!! Thank you!! We will definitely be back!
