The place is ok, the Guinness is okay, and the service was good as well. My wife’s drinks were amazing, and the place is pet friendly.
However, we were charged a 12.5% service fee just for using the terrace during summer (table for two). The menu says the service charge only applies to tables with more than 5 people, but when we asked the waiter, he called the manager, who said the fee applies to anyone sitting on the terrace (!?!?).
Overall, the place is nice, the beer is good, and the cocktails look great, but be aware of the 12.5% service charge for apparently no reason.

Lucas’ service was wonderful. He was very polite, friendly, and always smiling. He also recommended some delicious dishes for us.
I will definitely come back 😊

Went for cocktails. A bit pricey, but worth it. Made us wait a while but reimbursed the waiting time with shots on the house
P.S. Love my gf
Great place to visit with friends for an evening out in Dun Laoghaire.
Guinness on tap always makes for a great beginning, however there are plenty of other options including mocktails and zero proof.
Had the wings which were very good, along with other small vegetarian shareable plates. It had to be the Fish and Chips for the main course, they also have other vegetarian options.
The Sticky Toffee Pudding was the best way to end our meal. Would recommend visiting them for a meal.

Very good but overpriced for what it is. I suppose you're paying for the location, as this restaurant is very well situated by the sea. Very friendly service.

First time here, we had an amazing waiter and I regret not asking the young man for his name so l could mention it here, he was incredibly nice & helpful and a great asset to the place.
We visited on a full Saturday night.
It felt a bit more like a bar/pub that serves food than a restaurant, based on the reviews l was expecting the food to be more refined than it was. The menu reads more like a bistro pub with plenty of burger options, fish & chips.
There was a large table near the kitchen door in our view where all the dirty plates were deposited and it wasn’t a great look.
The starter of mussels was very average, they were tiny with way too much sauce and the white slice of soggy baguette on top wasn’t appealing. My husband had more success with his goats cheese & pear salad.
We both had the 8oz fillet steak, l’m glad I asked for it without the french onion confiture as my husband scraped it off his. Strange combo. The rocket caesar served with it was also a strange match. Too many flavours going on the plate Chef! Keep it simple. The steaks themselves were excellent and came with a choice of sauce and side.
Nothing on the dessert menu appealed to us so we moved to the bar area which felt more relaxing and sampled some whiskeys.
I’m glad l visited as I was always curious about the interior of this lovely building. I just wasn’t wowed by the menu or food. The waiter alone earned the place 4 stars.
