Green Yard Cafe in Limerick

We went here on Sunday morning. What a fantastic set up. A group of 14 people. A great selection of food on the menu for everyone. Service was very efficient. Portions are large so it helped that we were all hungry.And everyone left very happy.

All the battered food was amazing. However one should be able to choose the grade of spices for the Asian dishes. There is a choose for vegan food. The service staff was very attentive and could alter an order on short notice which was lovely. The garden is large and contains animal statues.

I only tried the seafood chowder. I wouldn't say it was bad, but I also wouldn't call it particularly good. The portion size was decent, but there were a lot of shellfish shells that had to be picked out, and I also came across some small fish bones. The smoked salmon also tasted a bit unusual to me. Overall, it felt more like a regular fish soup than a traditional seafood chowder, as it wasn't creamy enough for my taste. That said, it wasn't terrible by any means — I finished it without any issues. However, it's probably not something I would order again. On the positive side, it looks great and is definitely very Instagram-worthy.

We had a fabulous lunch here. Staff were excellent. We couldn't fault. Highly recommended.
