A great local business, consistent and quality food.
Also staff are great to give local knowledge.

Step Inn
Dublin
06/08/2025: We visited the restaurant for the first time since the new management took over. The interior is even more stunning and the vibe soothing. We had lunch there and it wasn't very full so we enjoyed the ambience a lot. The menu could do with a bit more variety but we enjoyed the fish bites, chicken wrap and filet steak sandwich a lot. Aileen was a wonderful host and we were grateful for the birthday platter for my in-law. The Aperol spritz let me down a little as it could use a better prosecco to soda water ratio.
05/08/2025: Delicious food with great service. Food was fresh, staff very helpful, highly recommend

Wynn's Hotel
Dublin
18/10/2025: Wynn’s Hotel, Dublin, is an absolute joy. It’s in a great location - close to Trinity, museums, shops and restaurants. The decor is Victorian wth a bit of a ‘70’s vibe, and the seafood chowder is sublime. What makes the hotel stand out is the staff. From the Czech barman who remembered our drinks and advised me on which gin to have, to the waiter who told my 65 year old friend to put her phone away and eat her breakfast before it got cold, we met big personalities who gave excellent service and made us feel totally at home. There is nothing corporate here, just a great hotel with a lovely atmosphere. Like the staff, the hotel is quirky and idiosyncratic, and in a gentle and understated we had one of the best hotel experiences ever. I absolutely loved it.
17/10/2025: Before you rush to judgment at the 4.3 average rating, check out the overwhelming proportion of recent glowing 5 star ratings for this hotel. My wife and I spent 5 nights here, and as frequent travelers with 2 BNBs of our own we were extremely impressed. Absolutely everyone who staffed the front desk during our stay was exceptional, but as others have noted, Sam stood out amidst this outstanding bunch. He was delightful to talk to and eager to please. The room was well equipped and very comfortable, and breakfast was truly something to look forward to each morning - the food, the setting, and again the service were all fantastic. And the location, with easy walks to Trinity College and other key Dublin locations and a light rail stop about a block away was a definite plus. We rarely stay this long a one hotel, but I’m glad we had an unusually extended stay here.

Bruxelles
Dublin
13/10/2025: Really bad food but expensive. Got a burger that was almost inedible - completely cold, but the kitchen couldn't do anything about it!
There weren't many locals, which of course should have been a guide for us.
I always check what others write, but I can see that the reviews are relatively old.
A tourist trap!
13/10/2025: The Thin Lizzy whiskey is lush! Well worth a visit.

31/08/2025: We had the Roast of the Day: Delicious. A large potion of mashed potatoes. Friendly atmosphere. The two of us split that and the very good vegetable soup. We were both full.

Relish
Laytown-bettystown-mornington
15/08/2025: The food is lovely. The cakes are delicious. The prices are good. The flies are a nightmare but seasonal. The decor needs an upgrade.
11/08/2025: This is renamed to Navy with new owners. Staff are lovely. Definitely recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment but staff were able to accommodate me for lunch. Food was delicious, and staff are attentive and professional. Lovely decor and atmosphere. It's a very busy establishment but run extremely well. I tried the Bay View, sweet potatoe fries and their slaw and it did not disappoint. Definitely will be back. Coffee is good too. Highly recommend a visit. If youre not local, there is parking a short walk in either direction or the bus stop is a short walk either.

Jenny's Kitchen
Nenagh
08/08/2025: Lovely café with friendly staff and good food. Great for celiacs
05/07/2025: Really nice gluten free cafe.. limited options, sandwiches, soup, Quiche.. gorgeous selection of treats, desserts and crumbles. The seating area is very poor, limited seating available. The Cafe lacks ambience, no atmosphere, the decor is bland. But as a coeliac it is a delightful experience. .

Lisdoo Bar & Restaurant
Dundalk
14/10/2025: Decent food... well worth a visit...!
14/09/2025: Food was good when it came out. Took about 20 mins to order after asking could we have our order taken with drinks. Was told they would send someone down. Then told ill get ine of the girls to take your order when we asked again.
No bread rolls with soup was told they would be down soon. Soup was barely warm when they did arrive. We had to ask 2 women for the rolls as we thought the first one was not bringing them down.
-got charged for extra rolls- we didnt ask for extra juts the ones that came with the soup.
Portion sizes small.
Asked for glasses of juice for kids. Got brought down a jug and were charged for it @3.50
Definitely wont be back

The Left Bank
Athlone
13/09/2025: Nice small restaurant, very good food and service.
12/09/2025: The food was very good. Two different fish dishes from the daily special, both deliciously prepared.
The service was friendly but a little uncaring, which was a shame.
