A cool pub in Rathfarnham! It’s moderately bustling, and the atmosphere is satisfying no matter who you go with. It’s truly lovely. The price of Guinness is reasonable, and the starter I had here—I think it was chicken wings—was really, really delicious. It tasted like chicken seasoned with hot sauce. The portion was quite generous, too. 100% willing to visit again

Great iconic genuine local pub. Great pint and food. Lounge staff are great. Bar staff could be more friendly 🤔 - but maybe that's part of their quirky charm :-)

Bar staff were unfriendly but there was a lovely waitress. Still no readily available vegetarian option (same as the last time we visited). Had to have a bowl of soup while the rest of my group ate dinner. Desserts were served cold (HOT sticky toffee pudding and brownies). We had to ask for them to be heated. On the plus side, they offer a half dinner portion.

It’s been some time since I visited this restaurant and I was impressed. The food is delicious and although the location is on a very busy junction you don’t hear traffic noise when dining.

06/07/2025: I had the fish & chips special, which was delicious, along with a glass of cava. The two went great together. Also tried a mango / passion fruit tart, which was amazing! The place is cozy and the service is great. Had a lovely time!
04/07/2025: I saw the summer special for fish and chips and a glass of cava for €26 and decided to try it. The service from when we got there was great. We placed our order and the food was out in under 10 minutes. 2 cods were on the plate but I’d say the star of the dish was the tartar sauce never had anything like it and the fish was super crispy. 10/10 would recommend and the cava pairing worked really well!

16/03/2026: Food was good. Fish was very greasy tho. Had to wait a long time to order as it was very understaffed (with impatient children with me) and after the food i was sick for 2 days. Was in the toilet for most of my day. They also had a problem with my reservation, said at first i dont have one and after a bit eventually got a table.
23/02/2026: Attended a birthday party function recently at this restaurant. Food was excellent and the service was great. Would highly recommend
