The Brazilian waitresses are the only downside of the pub.

One good example of what it is a traditional Irish pub, where you can eat and drink and in the evening hear irish music.

4* but would you ever flippin fix the lock in the upstairs bathroom toilet! It'd take about 5 minutes to move the latch so it would actually engage and work.

Simple and efficient, the service was pleasant and quick; there were 11 of us. A small concert was played during our meal. We ordered different dishes and everyone enjoyed them.

The bar is incredibly friendly, with great music. We reserved a table and spent a wonderful, cheerful time. The food is good, even if it's typical bar fare. Highly recommended.

Foley's Bar

16/05/2026: At a function upstairs, lovely food and good music. Nice size room and lovely atmosphere.
16/12/2025: The stew was delicious. I wasn't asked how it tasted during the meal, nor how the beer the bartender recommended tasted. It also has the feel of a cozy pub if you're with people you know, but if you're alone, you won't get any conversation. Not even if you're sitting at the bar; the staff don't seem particularly welcoming to tourists. Perhaps the bartender wasn't in the mood today; during quieter moments, he leaned against the bar rather than chatting.

06/03/2026: Before and after a soccer match in the Aviva both times the experience was very enjoyable.Proper old style bar staff even though the pub was bouncing and they were busy not afraid to make eve contact so you new you were next to be served.
28/02/2026: Ive visited twice now and each time has been a Friday evening after 8. -The atmosphere is great for conversation and not too crowded. -The staff were friendly and attentive. -The pints of Guiness were wonderfully creamy -AND THE BRISKET ROLL IS THE BEST SANDWICH IVE HAD IN DUBLIN Ive had a dream about that sandwich after each time I've eaten one. Proper crust from the rub, not overly smokey and the roll is a perfect match for holding up under the juices of the brisket without falling to bits and being too firm to bite or chew. It's a place that will be in the rotation of where I'll visit when I go into town. If that sandwich leaves the menu I'll never be able to return for the heartache that will come with its memory will be too painful to bear.
