An exceptional experience. Food and service was 5 star. Couple that with being in the majesty of Ashford Castle, it is a night that won't be forgotten. The castle and grounds were magnificent

We had dinner at the George V Dining Room during our stay at Ashford Castle and really loved it. It is a beautiful restaurant and absolutely matches the level and atmosphere of the castle. The atmosphere is very calm, elegant and quite intimate, which I personally really liked. We had the five-course menu and honestly enjoyed everything. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and the service was really top level — exactly what you expect from a place like Ashford Castle. Maybe one small observation, and of course this has nothing to do with the restaurant itself. For such a beautiful and elegant dining room, I expected the dress code to be a little more elegant as well. Some guests were dressed very casually, which for me doesn’t quite match the atmosphere of a place like this. But maybe this is just my personal feeling. Nothing really to complain about here 😄 Just a very, very good dinner in a beautiful setting. Definitely recommend it if you are staying at Ashford Castle!

The George V Dining Room at Ashford Castle served genuinely amazing food, and on that front it absolutely delivered. The quality, the presentation, and the flavors were all excellent, and in a room this elegant it makes for a truly special setting for dinner. My one honest note is about how the meal was coordinated for our group. Some people at our table had selected the prix fixe menu and others had not, and unfortunately we were not warned about this in advance. As a result, the pacing of the meal ended up feeling really strange, with courses arriving out of sync across the table. A simple heads up beforehand would have made a big difference and allowed everyone to plan accordingly. It is a shame, because the food itself was so good, and with a little more communication the experience would have been seamless. I would still recommend dining here for the quality alone, but if you are a larger group, I would suggest clarifying the menu format and timing ahead of time so everyone is on the same page. With that small adjustment, it would be close to perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea! It was amazing. The best we have had anywhere. Delicious scones, pastries , sandwiches and teas. And superb service! We love staying here too- Catherine
