Beautiful fish and chips had today and the coleslaw on point the vinegar was unreal to had my plate swimming in it lol

Fantastic fresh fish and chips and friendly helpful staff… especially when and idiot like me knocks a glass off the table! Sorry! 😅 … it’s a must stop if you’re on a road trip. 👏👏👏

The service was friendly and the chef was very quick, polite, and attentive. Unfortunately, I didn't find the food very good. Everything was incredibly greasy, from the sauce to the breading – it was all dripping with grease. I couldn't eat it.

Boathouse Restaurant

12/07/2026: Great food, but the day we went was a hot day. The restaurant was stiflingly hot and they seen to have a problem with insects. We all spent the whole night sweating and trying to fend off hoardes of hungry flies. Spoiled it for us. At the end we were glad to get outside for some cool air and to get away from the flies. Shame as it's such good food. Please invest in a fly zapper or something.

Turntable Restaurant

04/04/2025: Passing through Killybegs one evening, we called in to Tara Hotel restaurant for an evening meal. The staff were excellent , the premises were recently revamped to a high standard. The food was excellent with large portions and we would certainly recommend this venue.
