Been working in killybegs, and since last week been coming here to eat , the food brilliant, service brilliant , and staff excellent actually the best especially Kalla, iv left my heart in Mellys cafe, hope to return next year

Quite disappointed with the serving size for the hake goujons. Despite paying €16, we received two goujons, one very small which was overcooked. We asked if this was correct and they confirmed that it was. Extremely expensive given one piece was overcooked and only two pieces in total. We used to love coming here but won't be rushing back!

Boathouse Restaurant

10/10/2026: We had a brilliant evening here for my dad’s 80th birthday. The staff made our night - they went above and beyond with decorations and the service was warm, welcoming and really attentive. The food was also of an incredibly high standard - especially the seafood specials (the sea trout and sea bass were particular highlights!). We’ll definitely return!

Turntable Restaurant

04/04/2025: Passing through Killybegs one evening, we called in to Tara Hotel restaurant for an evening meal. The staff were excellent , the premises were recently revamped to a high standard. The food was excellent with large portions and we would certainly recommend this venue.
