30/03/2024: This place absolutely deserves the high ratings. My mom and I couldn’t decide what to get, so we both ordered the “seafood platter”, which I think should be called the seafood sampler because it’s samples of the various fish dishes they have on the menu. Really great way to try a bit of everything (some veg also came on the side) and it was delicious. The servers were also all very nice. My only complaint is that they didn’t have any chocolate desserts!
12/03/2024: I have visited this restaurant 6 times in the last 8 months, each time bringing a different group of family or friends to dine with us and it never fails.
Anderson’s Boathouse Restaurant is seamlessly run restaurant with the nicest staff and offers a delicious selection of starters, mains, desserts & cocktails. The seafood is the nicest I’ve tasted anywhere in Ireland. This place is not to be taken lightly! When you go, you just want to indulge in all the beautiful food & drinks. The staff are so personal, from the waitresses, to the manager to Garry himself coming out of the kitchen for a chat. Thank you for amazing service and food.. see you again in a few weeks.

05/12/2023: This is one little gem of a seafood kiosk.
I had seen this kiosk on tv about three years ago and I had to try it for myself. I had the Calamari and chips and they were perfect. My wife had the Scampi and chips and she said that they were the best she every had, I would highly recommend this little kiosk to anyone to try. I would also like to point out that the the owners also own the Boathouse seafood restaurant in Killybegs where my wife and I visited a few years back, also an excellent place to visit.
30/10/2023: If you pass through Killybegs, enjoy a fish and chip from the seafood shak. Impossible to miss, you will find it on the port with always a few people waiting for their rations of happiness. Because it really is pure joy. Fish, squid, shrimp, everything is ultra fresh and super good.

31/03/2024: Googled crepes on maps and this was the only hit. As I entered what was a full room of guests, I could see a family of 3 waiting to be seated. The coffee takeaway section was actually in a separate room so I moved my way towards the station.
I enquired about the crepes to be informed they were not on the menu. The staff member suggested I try another local cafe just up the street. Feeling a bit annoyed and also embarrassed, I asked for a coffee to go.
The coffee tasted decent and the building both inside and out appeared to be one of the most modern in the area.

27/03/2024: We reserved the Diamond Suite. It is a good-sized room. It was clean and quiet. The staff was kind. The only problem is that the beds need to be replaced. There are no springs left, and we sunk to the middle of the bed. We all woke up with our backs hurting.

Nice people, nice atmosphere
29/03/2024: Went to this place with no expectations but the food was really good. My girlfriend had the butter chicken and I went for the fish and chips plus a chouder. Can only recommend!! Service also was very nice.

28/03/2024: I hate to say it but I wouldn't recommend. It was tasteless. Veg in the dish was onion, a tiny sliver of I think green pepper, the carrots seemed to be grated, all over cooked no crunch, you couldn't taste them. Satay dish, no flavor at all. Meat was chewy The rice was overcooked in lumps. Very disappointing, will never return. Could be a gem right in the middle of the town but it's like they don't taste the food. Unfortunate.
19/01/2024: Food is very good. Great choice and reasonable. Big portions. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and bright. They have an extensive take away menu. Highly recommend.
