Nice little hotel with a pub downstairs... Nice people, nice atmosphere

Went to this place with no expectations but the food was really good. My girlfriend had the butter chicken and I went for the fish and chips plus a chouder. Can only recommend!! Service also was very nice.

So the food is fantastic: BUT: the last 2 times being there, it was also disappointing. One night we were eating, and a tiny portion came out for 18 Euro. Told them, they said " we say it to the kitchen." Then last Thursday i ordered the Vegan Curry, had that several times before, it was always nice, even though not always a big enough portion for that price. It tasted a bit different that time, but was still nice. So I ate away, lost appetite when I had a hair in my curry, a long one! I told it to them and again " we will tell it to the kitchen." Not once they tried to rectify the mistake by for example saying "ok the coke is on the house" or something of that sort. That is actually not very good customer service, even though the staff is nice enough. Too bad... I ate the last time there. Might pop in for a beer, but for me, that was it with food.
