Tara Hotel in Killybegs

The family and I had a wonderful evening there. The food was fantastic and the service amazing but the icing in the cake was how they treated our 2 dogs. Water bowls and a full chicken/veg dinner, prepared by the chef, who came out to meet the pups. All the gorgeous staff were beyond accommodating! We can't wait to come back!

We only food and drinks her so can not comment the accommodation. The food was excellent and all of our party agreed. The menu has something for everyone.The staff were very polite and courteous. The hotel is very tastefully decorated. The bar is very cosy and welcoming. Well worth a visit when out this way.

From the moment we arrived until we left, our experience was 5 star! The reception staff we met - Sharon, Teresa and Joan, were so friendly and helpful, and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. If we were being picky, it would benefit from a mini fridge. Breakfast was amazing! The staff again were so helpful, especially Sarah. My partner asked for her breakfast to be cooked in a particular way and it was no bother to the staff at all. We had an evening meal on one of our evenings. The menu was extensive and food excellent! The hotel has recently been refurbished and it is a joy to stay in. We can't wait to return.

Absolutely loved our stay here, Joan and Erin were lovely to deal with at reception especially since we arrived quite late at night. Had great chats with Paddy in the cosy bar and fantastic service from Eve our morning witness who was delightful to talk to. Rooms were spotless and it was difficult to pull ourselves out of that comfortable bed. Staff all made us feel welcome and was a very comfortable stay. Would absolutely recommend and definitely go again. Thank you all

I have stayed in the Tara Hotel several times this year for business purposes. I have always had a fantastic experience. Joan and Erin on reception are both wonderful, very welcoming and will do anything to help. I have requested several things eg. A room with a bath on a cold rainy day and a charger when I lost mine. They have gone above and beyond to ensure my stay has been seamless. I have eaten in the restaurant about 5 times for dinner and it has always been fantastic, I would recommend the feather blade beef. The views are stunning overlooking the harbour and my day was made when I saw a seal swimming in the sea, you cannot beat it in summer. Breakfast is the best I've had in a hotel it is made to order, potatoes in a fry and mushrooms. I have gone downstairs to the bar alone and made friends every time I have visited. They have live music and it is cosy in there. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Stayed here a few months back. Room was unusually shaped but it was lovely, bed was comfy and the restaurant for breakfast and Dinners was incredible. The bar downstairs is fantastic also
