Best fish and chips i have ever had in my life

Very accommodating staff helped prepare a table outside for us and our small dog. It’s a great setting. A view of the port and its large and brightly colored fishing vessels. The food was great. Only somewhat negative comment is that the prawn and monkfish gratin could have used more prawn and monkfish. I wouldn’t have minded paying more. The French style escargot presentation was cute but a bit more would have been nice. A seven year old chatted with us in Spanish and petted our dog. He wants to get a pet fish when he gets back to Malaga. If things go well with the fish then maybe a dog. We wished him and his mother well. And then our sticky toffee came.

The Marina Café has the cozy charm of a colorful ice cream parlor, but it immediately wins you over with its atmosphere: The staff is incredibly nice and friendly, and everything is spotlessly clean. The food was fantastic: The oysters were absolutely superb! You couldn't get any fresher – but as they say, thank goodness the chef can't really go wrong with raw oysters. Unfortunately, this was followed by the typical Irish deep-frying disaster. Fish and chips, and practically everything else, ended up in an extremely thick coating of breading in hot oil. Don't get me wrong: It tasted good! But it's just a crying shame. You're sitting right on the harbor, where they advertise freshly caught fish, you're given excellent basic ingredients – and then these high-quality treasures are cull in the deep fryer. It makes you wonder if there aren't any trained chefs in the area who know how to do something other than deep-fry such wonderful fish.

Best fish and chips I've had in a long time.

Went in for lunch during the day, got a seat without queuing so was happy with that. Had pan fried turbot which was divine, so did my wife ... we both loved it. Son had a seafood platter/mix. Very good. Would agree with some of the reviews where it says portions could be bigger but listen, it was plenty, it did the job. Staff very friendly so that was a plus.

Simply delicious! The fish is incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The burgers are excellent too, and the side salads are absolutely perfect! In short, flawless!

We love these fish and chips , and had planned our stay in kesh to include a roadtrip to killybegs!! Food was amazing as always 😋. We drove from galway to killybegs (wed) on our way home from honeymoon just for the fish and chips. The staff are so lovely and friendly, always bring water out for our furbaby. Thank you 😊
