Montenotte Bistro in Cork

Beautiful hotel with really friendly staff, a great location and amazing service and facilities. Would definitely recommend. The cinema is a really nice plus!

Gavin & Ken were our favorite staff. They were warm & friendly and offered us amazing tips on traveling around Cork. If they were the only people we interacted with, we'd rank our stay 5/5. However, the restaurant staff (especially the two hosts with black hair) were cold & unfriendly and were very slow and unmotivated to serve us. So, we only ate there once. Room was okay. Beds weren't great, pillows weren't great, pillow cases were super scratchy. Bathrooms were weird in that when you ran the shower it would spray water all over the floor ; no shower curtain. In its place is a weird half glass door that swings on its hinges. The fire alarm went off five times in one night which was awful and no explanation was given so the first night was a rough night of sleep. Overall, style over substance, I'm afraid :(

We spent a few days in this superb hotel. The staff took great care. The hotel's infrastructure (gym/swimming pool/spa, etc.) is very good. We had a fantastic stay.

My partner and I stayed here for Valentine’s Day…and WOW!! From start to finish we enjoyed every second. When we arrived we were greeted by Ken with such a warm, welcoming and bubbly personality, such a credit to the hotel. Our room was just fabulous, so clean and comfortable, the glasshouse was something else from the gorgeous funky interior to tasty cocktails and friendly staff! Such an amazing getaway, I would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you so much to Ken and his team.

Beautiful location, friendly staff and great service! The Montenotte was the perfect place for my first trip to Cork and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The facilities in the Motion Health Club were exactly what I needed to relax and the quality of the food in the Panorama Restaurant was superb. Totally recommended!

Fantastic decor throughout, rooms very nice, lovely staff ! Rooms were spotless. Food was just scrumptious. I think the cinema is such a nice touch!

Given the price point and how it's marketed, you expect a luxury experience but sadly not the case. The dinner was fine enough, with good food in a lovely restaurant space, but the bedrooms are tired and cheaply finished - more akin to a dated Premier Inn. It was noisy being on the lower ground floor and there was little natural light. The health club facilities are similarly in a mediocre state. Not worth the money to stay the night, but fine to visit as a non-resident.
