Montenotte Bistro in Cork

My cousins and I stayed at the hotel on Friday and had light bites and cocktails on the terrace. Everything was fab but really I’m only reviewing because our server Paudie genuinely made our evening, he was so fab! Paudie was so attentive and was great craic too. He really gave us such good service. Thank you Paudie!

We just spent 5 nights in a River Suite. The Woodlands part of the property is a five star experience. The serene room design, large balcony and club lounge make this a perfect place for celebrating a special occasion or in our case having a quiet home base for exploring Cork and the surrounding areas. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. The service was excellent. You do not have to leave the property as they have a full service restaurant and bar both with panoramic views, fitness center, pool and spa.

I sent the Montenotte my feedback after our stay last month. I used words like ‘unparalleled’ to describe the warmth of the experience of arriving at their wonderful hotel. But everything was excellent. The views from the extraordinary balcony at teatime, the smart bedroom, the unbelievably generous and delicious breakfasts, the kindness, the professionalism, the swift response to any enquiry or whim. We rarely dine in hotels at night because the cheffing is often not up to standard but they’ve also cracked that, four fabulous dinners in their gorgeous dining room. But none of that is what this review is about…..when I sent my feedback I assumed that was the end. I was wrong. I received back a full, charming, personal response from an actual Human. In the end, that’s the mark of this place. Truly bothering, actually caring, going the extra mile for the individual traveller… every single time. Brilliant. We (4 of us) loved it.

Just had a wonderful break at the Montenotte, room was very comfortable and everything needed was available. Breakfast in the panorama lounge was delicious with beautiful views of the city. Drinks in the night overlooking the lights of Cork is wonderful. Staff are very attentive and friendly. The short walk downhill is easy to access the city and it's a very short uphill taxi back. We'll certainly return

Off busy narrow street, so have a good navigation so you don't miss the entry like we did, as it was a bear to get back here. Otherwise, this has been the best hotel we have stayed while in Ireland so far. The staff and hotels attention to details are top notch. You should not be disappointed!

Finally stayed at The Montenotte for a trip with my Dad for St Patrick's and it did not disappoint! The aesthetic and decor is gorgeous and the staff are wonderful. It’s tucked away from the city noise but and has the best views of Cork. The spa and pool are amazing, and the food/drink options were excellent. Can't wait to come back for a longer stay next time!

Just back from the most fantastic weekend after staying in the Woodland Suites for two nights. The staff were amazing and could not have been more attentive and friendly. It is pricey but worth it and we both felt very relaxed after such a short space of time. Would highly recommend.

Quite possibly the best hotel we have stayed in. The service was exceptional from the start. Amazing rooms, comfy bed, sauna and pool. Every person we spoke to couldn't do more for us. Felt like 5 star service. Great food, drinks and breakfast. Cannot recommend highly enough

Wow absolutely LOVED this hotel. Felt like 5 star service from the moment we arrived. Amazing food, the cinema is such a novelty too. Great views from the main dining room, we loved it and will 100% be back.

We have stayed more than once at this hotel for many reasons, For the rooms, the food, the friendly welcome but especially and most important the staff. From Juan the general manager manager to all the staff especially Ken,Danielle, Jess, Ian, Paudie, Doris, Jason, the list is endless.
