The Top House in Annacotty

Gorgeous food, fabulous service and great value!

The Top House is a great pub. Donal and his young team behind the bar are very friendly and professional. They pro-actively seek out customers looking to be served, unlike some other local barstaff who try to avoid eye contact at all costs. It's clear that Donal puts in considerable effort in training, developing and coaching his team who aspire to develop the skills that you would see in the busiest and best pubs around the world (especially in the US). They are also very good at judging whether to have the sport on in the background or, if it's a big match, play the commentary and make it an occasion! The food is really excellent - especially the fish and chips. I'm also a regular for their breakfast - which is great - served quickly and fresh. The pub also has a separate area for events which can comfortably cater for at least 60 people. We held a family birthday there recently - which went really well. They coped with a large food order without a problem, and all the alcohol prices are maintained at pub level rather than the premium you would pay in any restaurant. I would thoroughly recommend the Top House for a quiet drink with friends and family, or to celebrate a big occasion.

Nice pub, good attentive staff, bit quiet. Menu is quite boring, but good quality is fine. A little busier and a little more atmosphere could make it a nice place Plus is that you can talked to each other without having to shout.

Top house food from the starter main to desert is very delicious and the presentation is excellent , you dont wait too long for food, service is good I have been there several times, there pub and music as well, toilets are clean, I will definitely go back again and again and I highly recommend

THE nicest mussels I have had in a long time. Such a generous portions with fresh brown bread AND massive bowl of chips.
