Saltee Chipper in Kilmore quay

The food was delicious. Fish and chips. Light, crispy and tasty. My only gripe is that it closes early.

Beautiful chipper. Nearly feels like a home. I love the decor. The lights, lamps chairs. Very clean very organised. Not loud even though its busy. Tried a rizzole sooooo nice. Id recommend. Also I love that they call us when its ready and have a seperate door for collections.

Very large portions of fresh fish and great proper chips. Staff very helpful :)

Pricey for a takeaway but the food was very good. Big portions.

We really enjoy visiting Kilmore Quay and visiting Saltee Chipper. 🐟 The prices, though, have gone up a lot. A few years ago, the same haddock cost €8, and now it's €13! And that's for takeaway if eating in.. is even more expensive. We usually get takeaway and eat at the picnic tables along the sea. The view is beautiful, and there's a great playground nearby for the kids. 🌊😊

I'm torn; it was good, but I still found it expensive. The fries or "chips" are extra and should be ordered separately from your fish or calamari. The calamari was delicious, but the portion was really small. The fish was excellent. We visited as a family: two adults and two children.

We had 2 x cod & chips meal, one of the fish was excellent, light and crispy batter, moist toothsome fish, sadly the other suffered from a bit of a gummy layer under the batter which somewhat spoilt the experience.

Excellent food, very quick service, great healthy options
