04/09/2026: After a few years since our last visit, this was extremely disappointing with both the inflated costs, only Wooden Cutelry, no available Water on the table, and the food in Cardboard Boxes along with such small pieces of Haddock ... all for approximately nearly €50. Thank you, but not coming all this way again! Kind tegards.

10/08/2026: I can't give a rating because we didn't get seated. We went for dinner at 8pm and it turned out the kitchen had finished 15 minutes ago. A bit strange for a holiday village. Thanks at least to the girl from the staff who told us there was a restaurant in the neighboring village.
03/08/2026: Good food, crab dishes were delicious! Great nautical themed decorations, good Guinness and friendly atmosphere. Need to book a table if eating because they don’t do walk-ins.

11/07/2025: This needs to be updated to full hotel, at the moment only doing b and b,fabulous food lovely breakfast, well maintained inside, lovely and professional staff, credit to them, hope one day we will see it to greatness, well done girls and thanks for a lovely stay
25/05/2025: Difficult! The Saltees is a hotel/motel with a restaurant. The food is tasty and of good quality, the service is good, and the staff is friendly.
However: The restaurant atmosphere is unworthy of a hotel with any ambitions. The seating looks cheap, the ambiance is uninspired, and the bar is a permanent fixture—complete with drunk and rowdy patrons. Furthermore, there's a pool table right next to the restaurant tables, within easy reach of the cues.
A real shame.

10/08/2024: Great homemade Ice cream. Lots of choice and the people working there are so friendly. Great value for money
25/07/2024: Ice cream melted so fast I only could eat half of it. Taste was good I guess, but couldn't really focus on that...
