The Hungry Monk is one of the best places to eat in Greystones. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it perfect for both a casual meal and a special occasion. Great service, excellent food, and a lovely dining experience overall. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning

Best restaurant in Greystones. Loved it. Great food, great service and very comfortable. My husband had the lamb shanks, I had the chicken curry, both were great.

Wow , we were in greystones today from Louth , what an amazing restaurant and the staff , service, atmosphere, food could not speak more highly of this restaurant , it’s a must for sure .

Always love the Hungry Monk. Book early and make sure you get a comfortable table. Some tables are smaller for 2 or 4 and some offer some more elbow room.

Managed to get a table on a Sunday. Exceptional Roast beef & yorkshire pudding. Great service & food in this long established family restaurant in Greystones.

22/08/2026: Defo a 5-star place. The food was fantastic. Full of flavour, beautifully presented, and very delicious. You can tell real care goes into the preparation. The service was equally impressive. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, either for a beer session with friends or and family lunch/dinner. The place itself is clean, spacious, and very well kept, with plenty of room to sit comfortably. It's definitely somewhere I would happily return to, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

The Burnaby

30/08/2026: I come to Greystones to visit my friends, and I go to the Burnaby for the wine and for Shannon. The wine is the best and very good price (I love it so much that the manager came to me with their delivery docket so I’d know where to source it for myself! What a guy!) and Shannon should be on the aux forever! Give her a raise! Such a fun place to have a drink. I can’t go to Greystones without going to the Burnaby 🥰
24/08/2026: Have been here a few times lately and every time the food has been fantastic and the staff have been exceptionally friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
