11/09/2025: Delicious, freshly ground food, and fast too. They don't rush you, so take your time.

08/09/2025: Had lunch here a few times. Food. Coffee & desserts excellent. Good choice & very helpful & friendly staff, particularly if you don’t eat certain ingredients.

10/11/2025: Lovely little café that caters for breakfast and lunch. Great coffees too. You order downstairs and then find a table upstairs. Cute decor, helpful staff and great healthy food options. Have a look at the small store afterwards.

23/03/2026: Stayed here for 2 nights, which included St Patricks day! Lovely little pub, that was already busy when we arrived in the afternoon (possibly because of St Patricks day the next day). Room was on the small side, but perfectly adequate for 2 nights - and we learned that renovations were underway. The restaurant is fantastic, we ate there both nights - special mention for Siobhan, excellent service! There was a lovely atmosphere on a busy St Patricks day, with live music in the beer garden! Great location too, with a big car park behind the pub and a bus stop just along the street for easy access into Bray.

16/03/2026: My daughter and her friend had a joint 21st in the inside/ outside area. The atmosphere was fantastic and Mark was excellent. So attentive to the guests and making sure the girls were happy with everything. The food platters were another highlight. I would definitely recommend it as a celebration location!

17/03/2026: A hidden gem just past the glen of the downs. Great food and deserts very well priced. Staff are very freindly. We will be back.

16/03/2026: Had a refreshing Kopparberg cider at the Grove Bar with my friends, such a great spot to unwind! The atmosphere was lively, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Service was kind and very friendly and all the staff were incredibly helpful! We had only heard good things and have to say it lived up to the hype! Highly recommend, we cannot wait to be back

11/03/2026: I visited this restaurant recently and unfortunately the experience was pretty underwhelming. The food wasn’t terrible, but it definitely felt mediocre for the price. The portions were surprisingly small and the flavours tasted a bit artificial, almost like things weren’t very fresh. I also noticed the overall atmosphere felt a bit tense, especially between management and a waiter, which made the place feel slightly uncomfortable. It’s not the worst place I’ve been to, but for the price and expectations I honestly expected a lot better. With some improvements to the food quality, portion sizes, and overall environment, it could definitely be a better experience.

29/12/2025: Food was good and staff was friendly. The only issue was an unannounced service charge of 12%. I would pay it happily if I knew about this from the beginning not until when they bring the bill.

04/04/2026: As a local to the Beach House, was disappointed by standard of food on Thursday evening having called in for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat. Well below average gastro pub standard. Similarly, today when calling in for a quick pint, disappointed weekend papers on the bar now discontinued. Hopefully just temporary slippages in standards.

12/03/2026: Visited for a late lunch when I was working. Staff were polite and friendly, service was good, food was good, nice views of the harbour from my table

29/03/2026: Always love the Hungry Monk. Book early and make sure you get a comfortable table. Some tables are smaller for 2 or 4 and some offer some more elbow room.

09/03/2026: Managed to get a table on a Sunday. Exceptional Roast beef & yorkshire pudding. Great service & food in this long established family restaurant in Greystones.

02/01/2026: The food was fantastic!!! The setting was so creative and cozy, perfect atmosphere for some warm, delicious food. Highly recommend coming here if you want a good feed in a lovely, homey restaurant.

30/10/2025: Great service, the pizza was amazing. My son loved the pizza in a bus concept. Good fun for kids.
