Great restaurant, great food. We had a lovely time.
Our waiter, Nuno, deserves a special mention. Incredibly professional, very attentive to anything we needed, extremely helpful and incredibly friendly. We couldn't have hoped for a better host. He made the overall experience so much better. Thank you so much, Nuno.

We enjoyed a lovely late lunch on Thursday. Not many restaurants run a full menu all through the day.
Enjoyed the Dublin bay prawn scampi, ribeye and Milanese. The quality of the bread basket was exceptional especially their homemade pesto and artisan butter. No shortcuts taken and the produce felt so fresh and seasonal.
Service was lovely, warm and friendly. The room is incredibly well presented, a treat to dine with proper linen. Many other places at the same price level offering paper napkins and menu on basic on printed paper.
We will be back!

To celebrate a family occasion we booked Peploes. The staff were so courteous and as requested reserved a lovely table for 8 of us. The premises is just off Grafton street next to the St Stephen's green in Dublin. Its located at a slightly lower level to the street accessed by a few steps down. The decor is modern but very comfortable and classy. No expense spared
A very attractive small bar greets you on arrival...a lady relieves you of your coats and umbrellas. The toilets are spacious, absolutely spotless and smell beautifully. The decor inside the toilets is also lovely. The food was delicious. Not a large menu but enough to appease all hungry punters. The Black sole was 5 star ! My sister swooned over her chocolate fondant dessert. Their house champagne is gorgeous and not over priced ( Thankfully)...................................However they do not serve pint glasses of draft beer ,just small glasses at 6 euro each...that we found expensive.
The main meal averages 34 euro and sides 5 euro each.A bit on the expensive side as they also charge for BREAD.

Food was amazing, the orzo and sea bass were done perfectly and the tuna was very fresh as well. the wine that the waiter recommended also complemented the seabass really well. the sticky toffee pudding was good but i’ve had better. highly recommend!

Great decor and atmosphere. Service is very good and attentive. I had the John Dory but would have preferred a different sauce as it was bland. The roast potato in duck fat side was disappointing. We ordered water. The issue I have was the practice of opening a 2nd bottle of water for the table and pouring some into the glasses without it being asked for. That was disappointing and I felt it was a swizz. Especially when an almost full bottle of water was left unused. Our total bill for 2 was over e200. This included the 2 bottles of water which came to almost e12 which is outrageous. Solely because of this practice I have given a 4 rating.

Peploe's is a good restaurant which I think thrives based on its location onto Stephen's Green as well as its established clientele. The service at the door was excellent and warm, with a friendly face to greet you. I found the service in the dining room itself to decent, but it was often difficult to catch a waiter's attention. As well as this, our table felt a bit cramped against the wall. The food is of an excellent quality although I think the portions are far too small and the price is much too high for what you receive. 3 small pieces of prawn meat for a starter is not a great introduction, and while they were delicious, it could've done with an extra two. My main course being the gnocchi was delicious and I'd go back for this dish. However, the dessert being a sea buckthorn tart wasn't the best taste to me. I think at €48 PP you can get a similar experience with better quality at other places in the city centre. That being said, the food was still really tasty and I can see why people enjoy Peploe's.

Peploe’s delivers really great food with solid, friendly service — but wow, is it loud. That’s the main reason this lands at four stars instead of five. We came as a group of seven, and between the basement‑level space and the lively crowd, it was tough to hear each other. I’d absolutely go back, but next time with a smaller group so conversation doesn’t feel like a sport.
[A quick note for accessibility: the restaurant is below street level, so you do need to walk down a set of stairs to enter.]
Food-wise, everything we ordered was excellent. Standouts - The warm gougères were savory, fluffy, and such a good start. The stracciatella from Puglia was creamy and fresh. The duck special with green pea risotto and asparagus was rich and beautifully cooked. The pasta special was decadent and perfectly cooked. And of course, the truffle and Parmesan fries were exactly what you want them to be — crispy, aromatic, and addictive.
Service was decent overall — attentive enough, though not standout — but the quality of the food definitely carried the night.
Great spot, just be prepared for the volume. I’d return, especially for a smaller dinner where you can really enjoy the dishes without shouting across the table.
