I had a wonderful dinner here yesterday. The food was incredibly fresh, and beautiful atmosphere made the entire dining experience very enjoyable. Every dish tasted thoughtfully prepared and of high quality. What truly made the evening special was the outstanding service. Our waiter, Imre, was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and professional. He ensured everything was perfect throughout the meal and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend the place, I’ll definitely be returning!

have to give a mixed review here. On the positive side, the seafood was actually quite good — fresh and well prepared, which is why we chose to come back in the first place. However, the overall experience was extremely disappointing, mainly due to poor kitchen coordination and service. We ordered a steak medium-rare, but it arrived completely well done — not even close. That alone was already frustrating. What made things worse was the way the food was served. As we were a larger group, we intentionally ordered everything in duplicate (starters and mains) so we could share, enjoy the meal slowly, and have a relaxed evening with drinks and conversation. Unfortunately, after the oysters were served properly as a starter, everything else came out all at once — starters and mains together. The table was immediately overcrowded with plates, leaving no space at all. To avoid stacking dishes on top of each other, we were forced to rush through the food, even eating off bread plates just to make space. It completely ruined the experience — instead of enjoying the evening, we were just trying to clear the table. When things finally settled a bit and we were able to relax with some drinks, the staff came over to clear plates again — and in the process knocked over a glass, spilling wine onto a guest’s trousers and bag. After we raised concerns, the staff even appeared annoyed rather than apologetic. I had been to this restaurant a few years ago and had a great experience, which is why I brought a group of friends this time. Sadly, it turned out to be a very disappointing revisit. I don’t think I’ll be coming back again.

Matt The Thresher Dublin is a celebrated seafood focused restaurant specializing in wild Irish seafood sourced locally. The dishes were well prepared letting the fresh ingredients shine. Standout dishes were the chicken wings, mussels and pork belly. Service was professional and unobtrusive. Overall a fantastic meal and wonderful dining experience.

Wonderful, everything was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was incredible. We had the mussels in the spicy sauce with bread. And the catch of the day, which was halibut. Will 100% recommend to anyone.

Such a treat! We were a table of 6 Italians plus 2 kids, so not the easiest but the service was extremely polite and patient. The food was excellent, fresh and the menu surprisingly varied. Made everyone happy, even the kids
