This was my first time ever experiencing Dublin and Ireland and this hotel made it that much more amazing. This gorgeous hotel sits just a 25 minute walk away from the city centre, which is great for me because I love a scenic walk! It is just close enough to experience everything the centre has to offer, but also be in the quieter bits of town when it's time to turn in for the night. I was solo traveling for the first time and felt extremely safe here. I had a single room for 3 nights, for around 147 euro a night, and had a gorgeous view. I was in room 420 and it looked directly out to the Museum of Literature, which is a stunning historic cathedral that has been converted into a museum! The room was the most adorable room with its charming wallpaper and furniture. Perfect for an old soul and history lover such as myself. The staff were so beyond lovely, and super understanding when I needed to have my room held due to a 24 flight delay from the states. And was able to check in with no hassle when I finally landed. Breakfast was included with my reservation and it was a lovely selection! They also have 2 restaurants, one that serves lunch, and one for dinner. And while I never utilized them, they were lovely to walk through while I was there. I would highly recommend staying if you are someone who values a quieter experience while in the city, something more with a bit more historic charm than a commercial hotel, and want to experience a slower pace within the fast past city. Cheers! ~ Preston

We really felt like we had stepped into the past of Ireland when we stayed at your hotel. It was lovely! The beds were comfortable and the service was great. We loved the quirky path to our room! We chose the hotel partly because it served breakfast, and we were not disappointed. The nightly music was a bonus!

The Castle Hotel is set within nine elegantly restored Georgian townhouses. It is like staying in a stately home rather than a modern hotel. There are several ornate staircases leading to upper rooms in different sections of the hotel. There is lift access. The ground floor level changes with many two or three steps. It is quirky and unusual. The décor is fantastic with period paintings (probably prints), painted ceilings, and sweeping staircases. The restaurant is like a cavern or wine cellar, cozy, The food was very good and we dined there several times. There is a option for a full Irish cooked breakfast in the restaurant or a continental buffet in the tea room. We preferred the continental option. The heating in the rooms is water heated radiators controlled by the hotel, so we were either cold or too hot.

Castle Hotel is an inviting and attractive place to stay, with nice public spaces and a verv good breakfast included. The staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. My room was smallish but more than adequate. The only downside I experienced was the room doors that slammed very loudly when exiting. Seemingly the doors can not be shut quietly as they had no adjustable outdoor handle to ease closing. Fortunately, slamming ceased around 11 pm but started around 7am, when breakfast starts. I'm sure customers would appreciate the hotel rectifying this sleep- and peace-disturbing problem.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Castle hotel for 2 nights. The food is excellent as is the evening entertainment in the basement restaurant lounge. The staff was extremely friendly, informative, and helpful. The only reason I didn't rate the rooms as 5 star was that the hotel itself is located in 3 (maybe 4) victorian townhouses that have been connected --- if you're expecting a modern hotel room, you probably shouldn't stay here. We weren't, and really enjoyed our stay -- the room was spacious, with some interesting nooks and crannies; the bathroom was fine, but a little tight; there was no AC, but the windows did open a few inches (probably not a problem for 50 1/2 weeks a year); and finally, it can be a circuitous route to your room as you go from one of the townhouse structures to another. I highly recommend staying here; there is a lot of history in the hotel.

Had a lovely stay with attentive staff. The Irish Breakfast was a decent Irish breakfast (though it was quite a wait) and the Continental breakfast was extraordinary! The hotel itself was quaint and Irish, unlike international chains. So if you want the 'real deal' it's a great option. Not a great spot if you are not able to walk 15 to 30 minutes for each touristy destination, a very good location if you're willing to catch the bus.

Our overall stay was enjoyable; the room was spotless, and we felt secure both entering and leaving the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I was disappointed that after informing the front desk about a non-functioning outlet within 10 minutes of check-in, no action was taken over the course of our stay. This was particularly inconvenient given the limited number of outlets in the room. On a positive note, the restaurant staff was well-trained, and the food was truly exceptional.

We booked two single beds and received a super cozy room with a queen-size bed and a single bed; we slept like royalty. We especially appreciated the additional reading lamps above the bed, which is a rare find. The bathroom was large, modern, and had built-in shelving, so there was plenty of storage space and no need to search for where to put everything. We were able to get a hairdryer immediately when we needed one. Breakfast offered everything you could want, and the Irish tea was particularly delicious. The breakfast rooms, with their several partitioned alcoves, have a charming atmosphere, as do the lounges with their English/Irish furniture. All the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. There's a large luggage storage room where we could leave our bags upon arrival, as check-in isn't until 3 pm. The same applies on the day of departure – check-out is at noon, and the luggage can remain there all day if, like us, you're flying back in the evening. ... The hotel's location is excellent; it's about a 20-minute walk straight ahead across one of the many bridges over the River Liffey, then turn right to reach the Temple Bar district. Everything was perfect, nothing but praise.

The Parnell Heritage Pub & Grill

22/08/2026: A local bar that welcomes tourists with open arms, delicious local dishes, amazing service, and fantastic food—don't miss it and enjoy the local people; the Irish are wonderful! 🇮🇪☘️ This is my second time in Dublin, and I plan to return to this incredible city.
20/08/2026: For us, who were staying at the Point, next to the pub, the last two nights, especially the last one with the rain, it was a staple for dinner. Everything we ordered, from the meat (Irish stew, Irish roast beef, sandwiches) was delicious. On the last night, I think it was the owner, he came to check if everything was okay. I've never received attention from anyone in Ireland. Excellent.

The Church Bar & Restaurant

28/08/2026: We loved the live performance and the food was honestly amazing. (Burger and hummus bread) Service was really quick especially for how packed the place was and kind. Cocktails were a bit watery but everything else was lovely
28/08/2026: The place is impressive. Everyone had good food, but this place feels more like a bar that does food, than a restaurant that serves drinks. It felt like an impressive weatherspoons than anything upmarket. I'd suggest going for drinks or a daytime bite.
