The Church Bar & Restaurant in Dublin

Had the striploin with fries and a Smithwicks. Honestly the best steak I have had in a long time. Service was great and the live music was enjoyable as well.

The atmosphere is really great. The prices are quite reasonable for what you get. Definitely don't order the beef burger, it's not good; the chicken is better. The fries are also very poor.

Must stop in Dublin! Made reservations a few weeks in advance to make sure we would secure a spot. Food was great and atmosphere was awesome.

Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was excellent. Live music was playing but the venue is so big, it didn't interfere with chats over dinner. Didn't need reservation but if you had more than 4 people, a reservation would be recommended.

Church converted into a pub. We had a nice dinner downstairs (basement). The waiters were friendly and attentive. Afterwards, we went up to the ground floor for drinks and music. You have to order at the bar to get a drink. The decor is very nice. A bit noisy for my taste.

The Church is one of the more distinctive pubs in Dublin, mainly because it is located inside a former church, a historic building that has been converted into a pub while retaining much of its original character. I visited the place for a drink and to have something to eat. The central balcony, overlooking the main room, is an interesting place to sit, especially when there is live entertainment. During the week there can be traditional Irish music and Irish dancing, with the typical fast footwork that is quite characteristic of these performances. For food, I tried the fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce, accompanied by a Guinness. There are also other traditional Irish dishes on the menu. The gin and tonics are also well prepared and are a good alternative if you're not looking for beer. The staff were efficient, friendly and well organised. There is an outdoor area which is quieter than the main room and is a good option for having a drink and socialising outside. The interior can become quite crowded, particularly during live performances, so finding a table may require some patience. Overall, it is an interesting place to visit if you want to combine a drink and some food with a taste of Dublin's pub culture, traditional music and Irish dancing.

The place is absolutely beautiful, full of charm and style; it's worth going in, perhaps for a drink, but the price is extremely high. There are short Irish dance performances, but they're very brief, clearly just there for the tourists. Also, I should mention that the reception staff (two women) were neither smiling nor pleasant when we arrived.
