12/04/2026: This restaurant is beautiful, I spend a good time. But the food is too basic, I think you can make at home the kind of meals that they offer. I ask for a club sandwich and want tasteful at all, and the frites aren’t home made. And my husband asked for Irish breakfast and was with a lot of oil.

07/04/2026: Food here is lovely. I had the beef burger and it was one of the nicest I’ve had in a while. Was served with a spicy tomato sauce on the side that was amazing. Staff are very friendly. Prices are good too for Dublin. Will visit again.

03/04/2026: Nice atmosphere and good friendly service. Food was unfortunately not up to standard. Even when questioning to quality, chef defended their food saying that it should have been as it was - ie a huge chunk of fat in the sandwich (rather than actually having some actual ham) just disappointed with the response too.

31/03/2026: Avi (Avinash) made our dining experience at Wicklow Heather Restaurant so welcoming and enjoyable and the food was absolutely delightfully delicious. Truly great service and ambiance.

08/03/2026: First time there yesterday. Have always passed it over the years and always wanted to go in for a pint. Walked in yesterday. Sound barman served us Fantastic Guinness. It's a beautiful pub. Had a nice stroll around it as it wasn't busy in the afternoon. Will definitely return.

02/02/2026: Classy pub, with the traditional storefront, hardware and perfume bottles that used to be for sale. "Just going to the hardware store to buy a couple of nails and an Eau de Cologne", that old tradition. Heineken 0.0 on tap, that's pretty rare, and cool.

28/04/2026: Took nearly an hour to get our food which was mediocre at best and over priced. Four times I ordered a beer and it came out with the mediocre food and hour later. I'll not be back.

11/04/2026: The menu is a very strong pub menu, I ordered the chicken burger and it was excellent. The staff are extremely friendly which adds to the lovely experience. Overall a nice place to go to!

06/04/2026: Went there for food at Easter. We sat outside because we had a dog with us. We got a staff member to bring us menus, they said there could be a delay because of how busy they were. We waited 30 minutes, went in again to ask politely for someone to take our order. A staff member said of course he’ll be out now. 30 minutes later, still no one came outside. We had to leave, not served in over an hour. I understand they were busy, but a very bad showing.

26/04/2026: A fantastic 5⭐ experience at Sandyford House! This pub has such a great vibe warm, lively, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The interiors have a classic charm, blending traditional pub character with a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your time. The food and drinks are spot on, with a great selection to suit everyone, and the service is friendly and attentive without being over the top. It’s the kind of place you can visit for a casual pint or a longer evening with friends. Really enjoyed the overall atmosphere here definitely a go-to spot if you’re around Sandyford!

19/04/2026: We’re regular visitors to Sandyford House and have always enjoyed it — especially the service, which is consistently excellent thanks to Amy on the food side and Dave, Sandyford House Manager. On this occasion, we’d decided to eat there after a walk and arrived looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The menu hasn’t changed in, what must be years!. Choosing was difficult, so we kept it simple with a bolognese and fish & chips. The food was awful. I had to send back the fish & chips and what came out as a replacement was even worse — completely inedible. The bolognese was only slightly better, and the side of chips were brutal — small burnt bits, overly oily, and not possible to believe they were served by a professional chef. It was so disappointing, especially given the price point and our previous positive experiences here. The menu badly needs a refresh. This is a local pub and getting the basics right is not a big ask. Locals are complaining and we all know you need to look after the locals, it's that simple. Unfortunately this is not the first time and rest assured we will not be eating here again until a new menu and improved standards are in place.

28/08/2025: Really bad drop off from this place. Was previously my favourite space for lunch in Dublin. Unfortunately with massive price increases and a drop in quality it’s not worth it. Ordered the spicy Cajun sandwich and noticed they stopped putting any sauce on it. 12€ for a dry chicken and cheese sandwich is frankly a rip off

28/08/2025: I will never visit this place again and you should not, either. However, if you decide to go there, you should definitely double-check your receipt here before paying. First I was charged 25.25 instead of 11.60 but realized only after swiping my card. Then they initiated a refund and charged my card again with the right amount (11.60), so I thought it was OK after all. I only realized on the next day (when the refund arrived) that they decided to "keep the change" and refund only 25.00.

01/11/2025: This stop was on our Rick Steve's tour. Very reasonable cost, great food and creative selections. Don't miss it!
