17/08/2025: You couldn't get a more local experience. Of course, the kitchen closes early, but the girl was so kind that even though I'd already eaten and the kitchen had been closed for 5 minutes, they still fried me some fries (I ordered them twice, including the following evening, amazing). Live music too.

10/08/2025: Local pub, very local I'd say. Found it while walking around the outskirts of Dublin, near where we were staying. The menu has limited but excellent choices. My friends had fish and chips, which were good, fried to perfection. I had the veggie burger, which was good, a little lacking in sauce, but highly recommended. Recommended! You can definitely soak up the atmosphere. There was also live music, which was absolutely pleasant and unobtrusive.

31/07/2025: Absolutely appalled from our experience. On the 31/7/25 I am a health care professional working for people with intellectual disabilities and we came all the way from cork to go for dinner here on our road trip. One of the people I support uses a wheelchair. No ramps in bar was the first thing I noticed. The person I support asked me to support her attend the ladies toilet. The ladies toilet is not accessible at all for a person in a wheelchair which is a disgrace. Me and the person I support were quite stressed wondering what we could do as she needed the toilet. Two lovely ladies who were customers saw the stress we were under and asked did we need help that the male toilet had more space for a wheelchair that they would stand outside the male toilet while we use it. The lady who uses a wheelchair was so embarrassed she had to use the males toilet which also smelled so strong of urine and was NOT clean. She felt this experience was totally demoralizing and said she didn't want to eat in a place where she could not use a toilet a basic need!!. It's so sad to see this in this day and age. Thank god for the two lovely ladies who were customers helping us. Staff were NOT helpful and the manager just said ya it's been an issue for people with disabilities for years. Well then the place should be shut down because it doesn't cater for people at all with disabilities. I don't even know why they have one disabled parking space when inside is a disgrace. I have working 10 years supporting people with disabilities and have never come across such an awful restaurant/bar experience.

17/07/2025: Absolutely wonderful tasty food is served in Riverbank restaurant. We got fantastic service, from a very friendly staff. I definitely highly recommend a trip to this restaurant. Fish and duck dishes were excellent.

19/07/2025: Have eaten here on a few occasions. Kieran helps to set a relaxed atmosphere and Roxy was friendly, professional and mannerly. The food is excellent. Whatever your taste it is catered for. If you are dining as a couple or as a larger group all are catered for. Whether the restaurant is full or empty on your visit, the standard is the same. Highly recommended, excellent experience.

01/08/2025: A family restaurant where the service is charming and the homemade food is very good. The portions are huge and full of flavor. One plate is enough for one or two people, unless they eat too much. Considering this, the price is very good. Highly recommended.

01/08/2025: Lovely restaurant. Waiters were quick to serve, and the food was wonderful. Portions were big, and a selection of sauces was available to go with side dishes. There was an issue with one of the bathrooms, but that was quickly resolved. The restaurant can be rather loud for people who are sensitive to that, there did not seem to be much to dampen the noise. I would recommend this place!

16/07/2025: Don’t usually write reviews but the service here today was fantastic. We arrived on a rainy day, 4 adults and 5 kids. (One with allergies) the waiter was exceptional and really went above and beyond. Didn’t get his name but was young anbd in blue shirt and either supervisor or manager. It got really busy as we were leaving with tour buses and he was trying his best for everyone as well as attending patiently to a large group of older guests. Food was excellent and the kids enjoyed.

28/08/2025: Had a party here for my dad a couple of months ago upstairs in the function room, was such a lovely event the bar tenders were great food was delicious and cannot thank Sarah enough for all her help! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a gathering!

15/08/2025: Delicious fish. I warmly recommend this place. The squid was amazingly delicious and the oysters super fresh. A real treat in the heart of Cork.

03/07/2025: Cookes is always a favourite place to ea. The menu options are varied, staff are all super great and friendly, and atmosphere is always enjoyable. It's a lovely spot for lunch and dinner. Never disappointed after a visit.

01/08/2025: Grand endroit, pas loin du centre ville. Des assiettes copieuses et bonnes, moins chers que d'autres. Le breakfast est très bon, avec option vegan. Venir avant 12h. Il y avait de place, pas besoin de réserver. Service sympathique

31/07/2025: Fantastic bar. The owner and the customers made us so welcome. My wife wanted crisps, but unfortunately they didn’t sell them. However, the owner said the shop in the alley sell them. We didn’t bother going, but the next minute the owner appeared with a bag of crisps, which he got from the shop. A must visit for anyone staying in Castlebar.

15/08/2025: Great experience, one of the best cheese toasties ever... Staff very helpful and went the extra mile, and not just for us, others had questions and requests and the staff helped them just as quickly...

15/08/2025: Stopped in after a local walk for an iced coffee on a warm day. Lovely place to sit. We sat outside with the dog in the shade and it was lovely!

07/08/2025: Toured Paris, Ireland and Scottland. The Waterloo was the best chowder and steak sandwich. Best meal of our entire trip. If you want a bloody good Chowder then this is a must do stop on the intinery. The steak sanga was outstanding. Better than any one we have had in Australia!!!
