14/10/2024: I was assisted by the staff at this restaurant when I was lost and stuck with a dead phone battery in the middle of the night. When nobody else was willing to help the waitress here kindly assisted me. I am grateful to her and the restaurant’s assistance and if you treat your patrons as well as you looked after me then the dining experience here must be fantastic. Thanks very, very much.

05/10/2024: Everything was absolutely wonderful. Our waitress was very nice and the food came out in a timely fashion. And the food was delicious. The inside was great and the bathroom was top notch. Overall great experience.

30/10/2024: Really great place, went there for my birthday and brilliant food… softest juiciest pork I’ve eaten for a long time! The croquettes were really creamy and the monkfish starter was delicious. Hake was really nicely cooked too. Nice flavour combinations on all dishes. The deserts were lovely as well! There were somethings I had never seen before but they tasted great! The staff were lovely. My dad really liked the bread they served before the starters and had been looking for a recipe for similar bread for ages and he asked them and the chef came out and gave him the recipe! Very nice of him. Overall, really good food!

08/11/2024: Service and food was great! We had Irish breakfast and potato cakes. Seating is somewhat limited so wouldn’t recommend for big parties, but for couples and small groups would definitely recommend!!!!

13/11/2024: I only ordered a beer, oysters and fish and chips, which were good but not amazing. The reason of my mid-low rating was te service. I came with my wife and we just tried something else from another place so we were not very hungry and when I ordered those three things the waiter said if that was it, which was sort of rude and then we felt our table wasnt a priority. if you come and you order more, you may get better service. the restaurant was very nice and we also liked the christmas decoration

12/11/2024: Very nice large beef burger with fries. The bacon is not overly fatty - and is the American style. Very filling burger. Chips were fine too. Plentiful of nearby condiments and generous helpings of pint ice water when requested. The hot whiskey certainly warmed me up. I was upsold a dessert menu by the gentleman in the shorts, good salesmanship from him. Very lively ambiance, especially from a highly jovial non-serving staff member. He was speaking ‘fluent’ Spanish with the foreign guests, whilst the other staff sung 1970’s rebel songs with little effort! I will be back for the burger again next week or maybe I’ll try the large chicken wings! Despite the cake being lovely, it was a tough walk up the hill after it! 🤣

04/10/2024: The price is very reasonable and both tastes are excellent for the price;;;; This much hot dog and sausage box for just 10 euros...? This is something that needs to be invincible. There is a store inside the English Market and a little further away, but it is better to come here because there are plenty of seats. I'm satisfied with eating at the regular price, but if you have a student card, get a student discount with Baaaa. This snack shop is a ray of light in an island where there aren't many. I've been in Coke for two days and it came twice.

21/09/2024: Winner. Great sausage. Inexpensive. Friendly service. Get your lunch here, and take some sausage rolls to go too.

30/10/2024: Dropped in to Monroe's on a raining Sunday lunch time, visiting from Coventry. Food was excellent, service was really good. Would highly recommended a visit.

10/11/2024: Nice little restaurant. Called ahead as we had no booking and was told that we can walk in as they can accommodate our party but upon arrival was told should have booked. Even though we were told to walk in. Service was terribly slow had to ask for water 3 times. Food was ok lamb was ok but very small portions. The chicken was extremely sweet. The risotto was very good and the fish was nice. Cocktails were decent

15/11/2024: We came today to lunch ! Food was terrible and after that food ( burger ) that we had we are felling really bad ! Won’t recommend because it’s obviously tourist trap and they are not using fresh food !

15/11/2024: We been in pub today, in total 4 of us ! 3 of us eat burger , meat was really bad, was smelling bad and was not worn at all! So obviously was heated up because burger showed up in 2 min after order ! All of us are feeling really bad and been really bad since than! I don’t recommend eating any burger or any food in there you WILL GET FOOD POISONING!!!!

24/10/2024: Stayed for one night as a stop over on the motorbikes. Lovely bar area with a fantastic outdoor beer garden. Food was outstanding and well priced. Derek greeted us on arrival and asked if we would like to park our motorbikes in the secure back yard. Bar was busy and had live entertainment on the Saturday evening. The rooms were clean and tidy. Would definitely return and recommend.

23/10/2024: The service was excellent from the bar staff, great for watching the football and having a decent pint. The bed and shower were 5/5 stars, but I couldn’t get the radiator to work so it was a little colder than I wanted jumping up for the toilet. Great shower, the lamps did not work well and I wish there was a little more choice for breakfast, like ham and cheese like they have for a continental breakfast.
