20/07/2025: Our last beverage before returning to Massachusetts after our Bunratty Medieval feast and ten days of exploring the area. Durty Mary's has a quintessential Irish atmosphere with a relaxed vibe and a great musician tucked away who was quite good. We had accidentally deleted the phone number for our cab and the bartender demonstrated the best hospitality by securing us another cab, and he also kept watch for us. He even escorted us to meet the driver. We had a great conversation with some native Northerners also on holiday ending our evening with hugs and handshakes. Thank you for your hospitality.

18/07/2025: Our least favorite place about the castle. Everyone in the castle was lovely and friendly. Everyone in this place seemed like they didn’t like Americans or didn’t want us there. Did not feel welcomed. Food was good.

12/08/2025: We had lunch a few days ago after touring the promontory from Sutton. We ate wonderfully; I had oysters and a typical seafood dish. My partner ordered fish and chips, and the chips were spectacular.

13/05/2025: This is one of the best places in Dublin due to several reasons: super nice staff, best atmosphere, and great range of beers. They always have a few unique beers on tap to put the cherry on top. The food is delicious as well. Recently they started offering their own range of beers which I found very delicious. If you pass by this place, it's never a miss. Slainte!!

05/08/2025: We stopped in on our way from West cork to Laois on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. The manager who welcomed us was really friendly and so helpful with the allergen menus. I've actually never seen another restaurant do this so well. They were able to enter into a tablet what my husband couldnt eat and it then showed a personalised menu with all the items that he could have! They also had a full vegan menu with loads of choice for me. The vegan menu was really well thought out and not just a token dish as you usually find in many restaurants. The food was great and we had lovely mocktails too. Cathering so well for special diets makes this a really inclusive restaurant. Well done to them! We will be back!

03/08/2025: Had the carvery at lunchtime today. Absolutely beautiful food cooked to perfection. Could not fault. Service was excellent. Resteraunt was gleaming. Looking forward to my next visit.

12/08/2025: A great little spot not to go unnoticed in such a busy area. I'm sure it's fine to get a pint but the food is great and they have good breakfast. They were even so good that they shared the recipe they use for their bread which was amazing which I posted here.

12/08/2025: This place is a joke. We tried to order beers while we looked at the food menu and the waitress immediately copped an attitude and said “this is a restaurant, what food do you want?” We tried to explain that we weren't sure on what food we wanted to order yet but she just kept repeating “this is a restaurant, you order food”. We left immediately without a second thought. It was the most unwelcoming experience in an otherwise very welcoming country. Ownership should be ashamed. This place doesn’t have time for people apparently. I guess they don’t like making money either. Wild.

09/08/2025: Beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Cork. Walking trail from parking lot. Very quiet. Don't ask for take out containers for your breakfast, not even for coffee!

06/08/2025: We had the most amazing wedding at Vienna Woods! From start to finish, everything was perfect. Gordon and Seamus looked after us so well – their attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism made the day completely stress-free. The food was absolutely outstanding, and the service throughout was second to none. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

29/07/2025: We stopped for lunch on our way to Dingle. A lovely area in the back to accommodate our dog. We can recommend the soup and bread
