The Boathouse in

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch at The Boathouse. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout. I had the braised beef with all the trimmings and a peppercorn sauce, and it was absolutely delicious—tender, full of flavour, and beautifully cooked. Everything was top quality, and I honestly couldn't fault a thing. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place and lovely setting. Food was very good. Service could have been better, we got our starters before our drinks,soup presentation was poor wasnt cleaned,potato fondant was missing from my main (but when i asked i got it) we never got a jug of water on our table,tea spoon was missing with our tea. Simple things that can be fixed tho and we'll definitely be back. Great value aswel

Booked a table for four for Mother's Day as my wife, a vegetarian, had seen their menu and was impressed with the variety of veggie options. With a nearly 3-year old and one under 1, I was a bit hesitant to book at such a nice place. Stewart and his team were beyond welcoming. We were checked in with regularly, they engaged with the kids, gave us a prime seat with a view (instead of tucked in a back corner as has happened elsewhere), and we genuinely felt like honored guests. The food itself was great. Their set menu for the day was pretty standard, but the flavors were definitely more complex than what you'd find in other restaurants/pubs in the area. My only near regret was not splitting a dessert with my wife. We each got our own (sticky toffee pudding and apple rhubarb crumble both 5/5), and were then too full for nibbles later in the evening. Thank you Boathouse for a wonderful meal. We'll be back.
