Beautiful indoor seating.
Outstanding service and great food.
The Tempura Tiger Prawns were huge and very tasty.
They went well with the white wine.

Quinlans is the real deal. I visited on a Monday evening about 7.30 and had to wait 10 minutes for a table. It’s very popular for good reason.
I had scallops followed by Jake as a main and panna cotta for desert. I was please to find chef had kept the coral on as it is very tasty in my opinion. The hake was very good but I thought slightly under seasoned but I get that’s a personal thing sometimes. The panna cotta was also great texture but I couldn’t taste any rum in it but all plates were beautifully presented.
The staff I encountered were helpful and polite and the service was excellent considering they had more people arrive only to have not enough seating. Some waited, some came back later and some left.
They do have a list of specials each day and there is a lovely nod to the history of the family business and their fishing boat providing the best fresh fish of course.
As you can see my bill was €65 for three courses and two glasses of wine which I thought was about right.
Book to avoid disappointment and enjoy 😁

We had the fish and chips and seafood chowder, both of which were excellent! The atmosphere was ok but service wasn't great

I come here every year that I visit Cork. Friendly staff and reliably good fresh food. Never had a bad meal. My only gripe is that the salad they serve on the side of most dishes could be nicer. Or instead turned into a nicer paid side. It’s almost like they expect you not to eat it. Other than that I love it. Some visits I come more than once.

Average. Lazy accompaniments to the tuna steak and hake. Hake itself was well cooked but the orzo and rice that came with both dishes lacked creativity and flavour, which was disappointing at the price point.
It was also far too warm in the restaurant, despite there being two visible air conditioning units that were not being utilised. As a result of the stifling atmosphere we decided to skip desserts and get some fresh air to avoid further disappointment.
Service wise, Ines was friendly and accommodating but the mediocre food and uncomfortable temperature would not warrant a further visit to this place if I’m ever in Cork again. It’s a shame as the reviews seemed promising and the place was teeming with American tourists.
Perhaps we were spoiled by an exceptional seafood meal at Kirwan’s in Galway in the last few nights.

Food is good but lots of fried options. Would be great to see more fresh seafood. Tables weren’t clean on arrival and had a strong smelling cleaning product sprayed right on to the table while we were sitting down and received a glass with lipstick marks on it, so hygiene practices need a bit of attention.

Excellent restaurant with fantastic seafood and great staff. So good we went back a second time within the week. Fortunately they had oysters the second time that were superb!

We really enjoyed our meals here. I had the salmon and my husband had the hake. Very tasty. We were seated right away with no reservation on a Friday at 7, but I think we were lucky. They were turning people away without reservations after we arrived. The restaurant is clean, the people friendly and we had prompt service. Although it was busy, the restaurant was quiet enough to have a conversation.

The reviews were good and we were in the mood for fish, so we walked to Quinlans Seafood Bar. Arriving after 8, we missed the rush and were seated immediately.
We ordered drinks and wanted oysters.
They were out of oysters - very disappointing. We tried the seafood cakes. The drinks never arrived, appetizers arrived and 5 minutes later we had to ask for our drinks again. The seafood cakes were tasty.
For dinner we ordered squid and salmon. Oops, they were out of salmon, so I decided to try the tuna. Dinners arrived, and while the plates were full, the food was blah, at best. We had to ask for fresh drinks, and while the drinks came faster, service was not attentive.
As for dinner - the squid was overbattered, and the chili sauce was not a good match. Fries were fries. No ketchup or sauce on the table, nor offered. The tuna was boring. Soy sauce on the plate added flavor, but it was nothing special or notable. The asian rice was good, but the plate was overall lacking flavor or interest.
We had planned to try the GF chocolate cake, but our dinners were so blan and service so blah we opted to leave and find desert in the street.
I would not recommend if you're looking for good fish with flavor.
