We took a chance on this place for lunch, not knowing the area. Very impressed with the quality of the food and the service. Great kids menu too so everyone was happy !

Really nice food service was good nothing to complain about only 1 real problem was when you first walk into the restaurant sticky floors and quite abit of food on the ground around an empty table food was across the floor. It wasn't super busy to have atleast not cleaned the floor from chicken wing bones and sause.

Fantastic food. Really good. The guy who served us was quite strange and came across as aloof (Asian looking guy). The taller, bald guy was very friendly and cheerful. Other staff were nice too but the Asian guy made us feels unwelcome (we were a tablet of 8 btw and everyone noticed it)

We recently moved to the area and have visited the Clermont a few times. On every occasion, the service, food, views, and atmosphere have been excellent. I'll quote my wife regarding her main course from the specials menu. She had the scallops and black pudding, and said it was the best meal she has ever had. So hats off to the chef and team last night.

28/07/2026: Best pub food in Dundalk, met here for the plaque unveiling at Dundalk Gaol, it was also All Ireland day so very busy but great staff who made my visit a memorable one.
26/06/2026: Loved this pub! Solo travelling I don't normally to into a pub as I'm shy! but I felt so very welcomed its my definite go to pub when heading to dundalk!! I will be returning soon hopefully a rose wine will be awaiting my arrivals thankyou again for taking very good care of me! See you soon

14/08/2026: Good location good food great value for money service is excellent I have to say staff are mature know what they are about I'm coming here a long time and it is the same staff all the time it seems to be run and managed very well. You can't put a price on an experienced staff.food always consistent in taste quality and portion size. I really like taking my family here
