Brass Bar & Grill in Dublin

A grand hotel, except we were so disappointed when myself and my wife and our adult son arrived back from a show around midnight and were refused a night cap drink in the bar by a very ignorant bar man who informed us that we could order a drink in the hotel lobby but we would have to wait 30 minutes. Then the girl at reception told us we could only order drinks from our room. We did so and our drinks arrived in 15 minutes and paid the exorbitant price of 42 euros for 2 whiskeys and a pint of Guinness. I should say it left a bitter taste in my mouth about the staff and service in this hotel.☹️

We had an excellent stay. The staff on reception were fantastic and very friendly. The room was fantastic. Food was excellent. Highly recommend the house burger. Staff in the bar/restaurant were fantastic and very friendly. Breakfast had a wide selection and food was fantastic. Staff were fantastic and friendly. Highly recommend The Talbot for a fabulous stay.

Excellent long-term stay experience (reception, reservations, housekeeping and restaurants). A special mention to Bala and his team & Claire for the welcoming, professional ambiance at reception and going the extra mile. Very convenient proximity to UCD campus and nearby bus routes.

This is our go to hotel when visiting Dublin and time and time again it’s a relaxing and wonderful hotel. Staff so friendly and helpful. Bala in particular was more than helpful. And always there to help. We will be back again and again and again etc

Hairs in whb and shower tray, though the cleaners have my sympathy... it must be a pain to clean with the rainshower fitting.

I was at a conference in COBAC and this place was very good. There is a bus to the airport coming and going in front of the hotel, which was definitely convenient. The food in the morning was also good.

The hotel location was great as we were really close to UCD Dublin. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was large enough for two persons. We were upgraded to a king’s bed and to the second floor, which was more accessible for my son, who currently uses crutches.

Bedroom was very nice and beds were comfortable. Could have provided water in the room but we availed of the tea facilities. Check in staff very friendly. Did not use restaurant or breakfast. Decor a bit dated but very reasonably priced. Would recommend hotel for budget friendly travelling.

At Talbot Hotel for an event with my family. Room was fantastic, clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly. Had dinner in the bar, bar staff were brilliant with the children and the singer that evening was great with the children also. Overall very enjoyable.

Very easy to get to from the M50. Room was perfect for me. I would have liked a bottle of drinking water in the room. All the rest of the facilties were great. Breakfast, carvery lunch and evening meal were fabulous. The service from all the staff was impeccable. I look forward to returning in the future. Thank you 😊
