Excellent cafe and restaurant with enthusiastic service, typical food offerings to Ireland, and some unique menu touches that make it a regular spot for locals as well as a great place for visitors to pop in.
First visit here, I didn’t even know about it and it’s only 25 mins from my door and what a little hidden gem it is. The staff are very friendly and helpful & welcoming, the food is excellent and the value is literally the best I’ve seen in places. The setting of the restaurant gives a lovely old fashioned cosy warmth feeling. I will 100% return again
First time to visit just before Christmas. Warmth as you walked through the door ,great food. Hannah served us ,lovely girl ,really attentive and friendly .
Recently we were back again at The Red Door. The service was, as usual, excellent. The welcome was warm. And the desserts sensational. I had a gorgeous scone and my companion had a wonderful white chocolate cheesecake with raspberries. Lovely food, warm welcome and reasonable prices. Including tea and coffee, €15.45. Just be careful not to visit if you're dieting - you will not be able to resist their lovely food!!
We visited for tea/coffee and cakes on Sunday, the first full day of our holiday. Unfortunately, we arrived only 40 mins before they closed for a week's holidays. So a number of items were not available. But the scones were excellent, so were the two different cheesecakes. And the apple crumble was delicious. Tea and coffee were good too. The gentleman who served us was charming and fun. It was a lovely way to start our week's holiday. If they'd been open during our stay, we'd definitely have gone back again.
Hidden gem in Carrick On Barrow. Delicious breakfast options catering to all tastes, with quality coffee and a selection of homemade desserts. Well worth a visit.
