02/08/2025: Just in from another lovely evening in The Hatchet! Food, as always, was amazing! Cocktails were just so!!! And our waitress, Ava, was absolutely 10/10!! Brilliant evening - we will be back!

19/06/2025: Exceptional bar, you go to the corner and smoke, you feel like you're smoking a cigarette in your aunt's garden. The pool table is free, just don't mention it to the waitress.

15/06/2025: Small independent cafe that served more traditional Irish food, in particular the breakfasts. I would highly recommend the breakfast boxty - it was delicious! It appeared noticeably loved by locals and I always think this is a good sign!

20/08/2025: Good, reliable spot for dinner, open all week. Big portions, just what you want after a big hike. Most impressive is the desserts - absolutely heavenly profiteroles and banoffee, homemade! Corbett's stick to the classics and do them very well.

07/08/2025: Once a traditional hostel, this beautifully transformed historic house now blends the comfort and elegance of a boutique hotel with the friendly, communal spirit of a hostel. The private rooms are located in the main house, and I loved the colourful and artistic decor Alice has created. It gives it a stylish and eclectic atmosphere without loosing the spirit of the historic manor home I am visiting now since over 30 years. A generous continental breakfast, complete with Irish soda bread is served in the stately dining room which becomes a restaurant by night. Excellent food is also served in the pub or adjacent patio. A bonus is the cottage style kitchen located in the former stables which is available for all guests. This is also where Pat and Alice placed the most famous table of all of Ireland. The Valley House is a wonderful, welcoming place I was happy to see is coming back to its former splendour without loosing its friendliness.

20/08/2025: My favourite place to stay in Cork. Fabulous food and excellent staff. Dinner recommendations-yellow curry or chowder. Breakfast - Eggs Benedict or Eggs Royale

18/08/2025: I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. The hotel staff is very friendly, both at reception and at breakfast and in the restaurant. The beds are super comfortable. The breakfast is very good. The pool is very nice and clean; the outdoor pool is simply magnificent. The hotel staff at reception, breakfast, and at the spa are very kind and welcoming. One small drawback is that there is no small refrigerator in the room. Please ask the restaurant and bistro staff to lower their plates and glasses.

18/08/2025: Absolutely gorgeous place for a family never actually stayed just had some lovely dinner and few creamy pints and the staff were absolutely amazing with the family definitely be back to stay next time for sure

13/08/2025: Wow wow wow!! My first time here while visiting a friend. The food was amazing. The desserts were 👌🏻 the staff were so lovely. I think our server was called Alina/Alima (sorry if I've gotten this wrong) she was so friendly and recommended the specials for us as we couldn't decide. We will definitely visit again when we are back in Ireland

16/08/2025: Consistently good, batter could have been a lot crisper. Mushy peas need seasoning as they tasted very bland. Chips were just about okay, curry sauce was very good . Been coming here since a teenager in the 80s a and it rarely let's you down. Portion size was excellent. Value for money is very good.

(Aparentemente hay un lugar en Cahersiveen que es más barato, pero IT es un poco de trekking para una cena de los jueves) Gracias por las bromas, me alegraron el día. David M

07/08/2025: We used Meltdown for our office catering for breakfast and lunch. Everything was perfect. The food was really well presented and very tasty and everything was ready on time as promised. We will definitely be using Meltdown for all our future office catering events.

07/08/2025: Sausage roll was delicious, pistachio croissant tasted so artificial and so dry we couldn’t finish it, both flat whites were burnt and made incorrectly. The guy working there was super lovely, but the lady serving us was really rude. She overcharged for the wrong item and made no effort to fix it…

29/08/2025: The oldest pub in Dublin. It is a neat quaint place for a pint and fish and chips. The portions are very generous and good to share. If there is one draw back is that there were more tourists than Dubliners. I can't complain because I am not a Dubliner myself.

29/08/2025: We were here the night before the first Oasis concert. Even though the place was crowded, we only waited 10 minutes to be seated. A very quaint place, a classic Irish pub with a large outdoor area. Excellent food! It's a shame about the live music; unfortunately, there wasn't any that night, which was a real disappointment. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by, even if it's just for a beer ;)

12/08/2025: Testé en famille au hasard de la route. Les plats sont très bons et copieux et il y a un menu enfant. Les serveurs étaient très gentils et efficaces.

12/07/2025: Nice place for food, but one bad thing for it was the kitchen was wide open and the extractor fans weren't working properly because we were being smoked out of it.
