Great atmosphere inside, perfect place for a few pints with a group for the evening

The Ginger Man was a fantastic discovery in Dublin! The food was outstanding—huge portions and excellent batter on the fish. Wings were another highlight. What truly made the visit memorable was the outstanding service: welcoming smiles from the moment we arrived and nothing was ever too much effort. Great food, friendly staff, and both cash and card accepted.

The beef and Guinness pie was advertised as coming with champ (mashed potatoes with chopped spring onions, butter, and milk, seasoned with salt and pepper). Did it come with this lovely-sounding side? Did it heck. It came with the plainest, drabbest, driest, sorriest excuse for mashed potato I’ve ever been served from a “professional” kitchen. There were no spring onions. It was not buttery or creamy. There was zero seasoning. If you’re going to advertise a side, blooming well serve it. Not impressed, wouldn’t go back.

Lovely pub and superb pint of Guinness

This traditional pub is located right next to The Alex Hotel, behind Trinity College. We had a very good meal here and enjoyed the great atmosphere. The pub spans three floors and therefore offers plenty of space. The staff were generally very friendly and attentive.

Good atmosphere and great drinks. The gin and Irish coffee were very well prepared. Friendly service and fair prices. Nice place to relax and enjoy a drink.

Like to thank the chef for a delicious tasty Beef & Guinness pie, with root veg & tasty gravy, with a generous topping if light puff pastry, with mash potato in separate dish, partner swap his for a generous portion of chips, & portion of what I think was Guinness bread, very hearty. I also asked for extra gravy with onion added to my mash 10/10. Guinness reasonably priced full of flavour. Very friendly & attentive staff
