Its an ok eater place. A chip and fish shop with extras. Staff are excellent. Can be busy but certainly worth a shout if you're in Ballina. Not disappointed and again the staff are on the ball. In Ballina again shortly, will forgo the Hotel food and go to the junction.

Merry Monk

09/03/2026: Good food and great craic at the bar. We were touring the Wild Atlantic Way and needed somewhere to stop for the night and grab a bite to eat. The Merry Monk was friendly, welcoming, and great value. A perfect spot if you’re passing through and looking for good food and a relaxed atmosphere.
