03/09/2026: Let's talk about the turkey and ham lunch. I never know turkey can taste so juicy and soft. The turkey and ham are sliced thick, so we get a good bite in every mouth! Gravy is rich. I would say the whole dish has a rustic and traditional taste. Best of all we got 3 scoops of mash potatoes! We got croquettes instead of the usual roast potatoes. Honestly, blissful after a full meal here. Definitely living up to its name as a family restaurant. We also had the tuna melt, felt like they put a whole can of tuna for the sandwich. Bit more than 16euros for the turkey and ham, definitely bang for the buck.

01/09/2026: Absolutely loved The Junction. The apple pie with warm custard and ice cream was proper comfort food — homemade, generous and absolutely delicious. Exactly the kind of dessert you hope for when you order apple pie. Great food, warm and fast service and a lovely atmosphere. One of those places that just does the simple things really, really well. Five stars across the board and well deserved!

08/10/2026: An amazing experience! I booked via Instagram and the manager who greeted us at the door knew who were were, and knew that mu husband was vegan. It's rare to get a whole vegan menu so this was amazing. Service was impeccable, cannot fault it or the food. It was truly an excellent meal from start to finished. Lovely friendly service. Would highly recommend and would return.

05/10/2026: Never disappoints, our 4th time at this stage going to the Poacher. So different to what you see for dining nowadays. They sure are passionate about their food.

22/09/2026: Not a good sign when your main course (burger) arrives out - 5 minutes after you order it. Would not go back, the quality of the food is extremely poor. The prices are high for the quality of food you get.

04/10/2026: We come here regularly and have to say wonderful staff, great food and a very enjoyable evening. The staff are so friendly and when we have birthdays to celebrate they are so good with our grandkids. Emma, Chloe and all the staff couldn't do enough for you. Thanks for everything.

15/08/2026: Stayed in the apartments. The staff are very welcoming and the regulars are friendly. The apartment all through was spotless. I had a decent weeks sleep until Thursday night. Should've gone sleep early ready for work. Got woke up half eleven twelve. Status Quo, The Cranberries all sorts. A live band downstairs. I ended up at 1 o'clock in the morning having a crafty ciggy at my bathroom window singing Cher, "Do you believe in life after love"

29/07/2026: Great little pub overlooking the river Moy. Always a nice atmosphere, and perfect whether there are two or twenty of you socialising. Nice pint of Smithwicks too.

20/07/2026: This was our favorite pizza place in Ballina. The restaurant was always spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and had a great eye for detail. Every ingredient was placed so beautifully on the pizza. Everything was delicious, and we always enjoyed coming back

18/08/2026: Mediocre food - lamb jalfrezi was not spicy / hot for me . Good nan bread . Same as the rest of Indian restaurants in Ireland , cook better at home

16/08/2026: Recently went to The Everest Nepalese Restaurant in Ballina and had a good experience. We tried the Butter Chicken, Everest Special, butter naan, kids meals and a few other items from the menu that I can’t recall the names. The food was tasty, portions were good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. If you're Asian or looking for food that suits an Asian taste palate, this is a nice place to try in Ballina.

10/08/2026: Basic room, but had everything needed. Staff was very responsive. Breakfast was awesome. Irish breakfast is big enough for two. Lively pub with lots of local patrons. Would be a great place for those looking for a pint of Guinness after a day of travel.

08/08/2026: Nice little drive through or walk up for coffee and snacks. Vegan sausage was excellent. Nice location to sit and watch the river. Brownie piece come with each drink. Nice touch!
