12/11/2025: I went once in a hurry, I've gone back for more. great food

11/10/2025: Great chippy!! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. My group had fish and chips, which were served crispy and hot. Should’ve asked for the extra salt they offered for the fish, but it was still tasty. Other menu items include burgers, fried chicken, milkshakes, and a variety of chips.

23/09/2025: This was the perfect place for this Philadelphian! While an old traditional Irish pub, the wall was lined with Philly team hats! Pat the owner/bartender was very pleasant and personable, as we're all the friendly people I encountered there. This is a quiet but friendly bar and was perfect for my travel companion (who grew up up the street) and myself to sit at a table for personal discussions or at the bar to meet new folks. Weather did not permit, but there was an outside beer garden too! While visiting one evening,the back room broke out in Irish singing.. loved it. They do not serve food.

30/08/2025: Nice traditional.pub , enjoyed a pint or two! Great setvice from the elderly barman ,nice atmosphere.

01/09/2025: The food and the customer service here is fantastic! I got the doner kebab plate it was absolutely delicious. The ladies behind the counter were so friendly. The place was very clean and professional. The menu looked amazing and enticing and makes me want to go back for more! And I will be!

01/11/2025: Visited Bar Square on Halloween Bank Holiday, Sunday evening, when Head-bouncer Stephen raised his voice and shouted and cursed in my partners face as she was asking a simple question, when I asked him to lower his voice and listen to her, he was having none of it and proceeded to continue shouting and speaking over us. Returned on Halloween evening and Stephen actively searched for us to escort us out saying we were disrespectful that past Sunday when all we were wanting was to be listened to. This unnecessary aggressive, rude and intimidating behaviour has put us off Bar Square for good, they really need to consider getting a head bouncer that actually speaks to other people as if they are people, not rubbish.

16/10/2025: We had a lovely lunch there today. The food they served was delicious. I had a dish called "Guinness leek sausages" which was a very welcomed alternative to the usual food you get for food like burgers, fish and chips, turkey and ham or lasagne. The service was fast and very friendly.

04/09/2025: We had such a lovely stay at Ballina Hotel. The view by the river and church was beautiful, and the rooms were clean and comfy. Breakfast was amazing, and the ladies serving it were so kind and caring it really made our mornings. The receptionists were very friendly, and the restaurant staff were super attentive. Great service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. Definitely 5 stars

31/10/2025: Attended a work meeting recently in the Ballina Manor Hotel. Parking under the hotel is limited, but there is more parking further down the street. The design of the hotel is charming, using the location of the river beside to best advantage so the views are available from many areas of the hotel - including the meeting room. All hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The chef went out of his way to create lunch for dietary requirements!!

21/10/2025: This hotel is very clean and kept current. The People who work here are very nice. The food is very good, and the location is perfect.

30/10/2025: Booked this hotel for wedding guests, only to find on a fb page that it is actually an IPAS centre. Contacted the hotel about this and they said they didn't have to notify guests because of data protection. (IPAS residents are aware they are being housed in a hotel/ipas centre but hotel guests aren't, two tier policies) I've read a few reviews on other sites all expressing their concerns. I find this so ridiculous that they are charging guests full price for a hotel that is not a fully functioning hotel. Safe to say all rooms have been canceled and we now have to find accommodation for all guests 3weeks before the wedding.

21/10/2025: Great place for lunch. Food was very good and service was spot on. We appreciated the warm welcome and banter. Thanks from 6 x New Zealanders on tour

06/09/2025: Delicious vegan brunch at heffernans fine foods. Mix of grilled vegetables beans vegan toast.

16/07/2025: I liked this place before,but this time I waited patiently for service and nothing happened.All the staff were standing around doing nothing, Including the manager .The one server was fussing over a mother and her girl who had already put their order in.I just left,hungry and disappointed.

07/11/2025: Went in to order a takeaway, was never in here before.. I was greeted with “what did you order” not a hi hello or anything. Then when the girl with me ordered, he looked at me “will you order together quick” . I had to tell him cancel the order as it was rude! And I’ll never step foot in there again after being spoken to like. Came across so rude as if he didn’t want custom. If it was close to closing time, then change closing time if he doesn’t want to wait there till 11.

02/11/2025: We went to this restaurant last bank holiday. The ambience was nice and the staff were good. But the food that was served to us was very disappointing. We only got 2 spring rolls, 4 prawn toasts, tiger prawn curry, spicy chicken burger. In total it came over 61euros. We had a bit higher expectations for the food quality or quantity due to the high priced rates in this restaurant. Not worth of your money to spend here.

13/10/2025: Waiter was extremely rude as I was trying to pursue my career as a facebook influencer. My cookie was served to me as in the picture. When I asked she said it was labelled as a "Crumbl Cookie". Disgrace!!!! (especially when it was €6). Very unsatisfied, will not be returning

12/09/2025: Its a popular place , be prepared to wait a while. Very limited food selection

05/09/2025: Always a good all rounder, love the spice boxes they do. Kebabs are great, fresh naan. Chips are good. Pizzas are typical apache pizzas, would recommend trying the local menu more than the pizzas.

30/08/2025: I ordered a chicken tenders and chips and no where did it state that it was a kebab tray very bad service and the person on the phone was very annoying as he refused to listen to me and started getting very aggressive

29/07/2025: We were on our holidays in Ballina and decided to get an Indian takeaway. Going on reviews on Tripadvisor we went with Bisini. I don't know what the people who reviewed this were eating but our experience was awful. The onion bajani were burnt and the food was awful. We would never again go back!
