The Wicklow Heather in Laragh

Avi (Avinash) made our dining experience at Wicklow Heather Restaurant so welcoming and enjoyable and the food was absolutely delightfully delicious. Truly great service and ambiance.

Beautiful place, quick to get seated even without a reservation. Quite busy for a Monday. Service could be improved, especially in helping with the menu, but the staff are friendly! The steak portion as you can see in the picture was very small for €27!!!! everything else was fine.

Went for a light lunch on a Sunday. Friendly proprietor and servers. Got the seafood chowder, broth was too light for my taste. And it had very little flavor. Fine experience, neither bad nor great.

The food was delicious! We had the leg of lamb and shared the apple/berry crumble for desert. We saw the restaurant driving past and luckily stopped by on our way back to the city. It was so cozy and we had the loveliest lunch.

For the couple of people commenting on the small portions, I question your eating habits. I love to eat!!! Yet, I had to walk away with a decent amount of food left. First, the seafood chowder! I had ordered a cup, however, there was a bit of miscommunication and the bowl arrived. That said, the best seafood chowder I have ever eaten! Next was the lamb stew (mini). I are a third before I ran out of room. Although lamb is not my favorite (I prefer beef), I was pleasantly surprised how tasty it was! If I don't myself wandering around here again, I will definitely be stopping again!

We went on St Patrick’s day so was very busy but the food was okay the drink selection is good though

Busy St Patricks day.. they were accommodating, friendly and just generally on the ball. Place and staff were inviting and homey. Food was honestly impressive👍🏻

Great place to eat. AVINASH gave us a great service :). there’s parking just in front. 30mins walking from the visitors center through a walkway. we recommend making a reservation.
