Theresa was wonderful! Definitely a must stop in the Glendalough area. Lamb stew melts in your mouth.

Incredible atmosphere and decor. There's an air of both privacy and community in the place. Nice low-lighting and calm vibe. Great food; but the breakfast could do with a side of relish or something similar! Nice coffee and kind servers. A bit slow but could have just been a mistake. Will definitely be back!

An absolutely fantastic experience this evening at the Wicklow Heather. Most enjoyable meal out I've had in ages. We availed of their free shuttle option which picked us up at The Glendalough Hotel - what a brilliant service! Dave picked us up and showed us to a lovely table when we arrived. The decor is beautiful, cosy and welcoming. The food was all really good, particularly the venison and the desserts. However, Dave and the rest of the staff were the highlight. They were all highly professional but very friendly, and knew exactly how to manage tables, which is a rare thing these days. After a really relaxing and tasty meal, we had a quick look in thr Writer's Room (don't miss it!), Dave dropped us back to the door of our nearby hotel. We'll absolutely be back next time we're anywhere in the area! Thanks for a great evening!

We were traveling with our dog, and booked a reservation at the restaurant because they have a whole web page dedicated to being dog-friendly (https://wicklowheather.ie/dog-friendly-restaurant-wicklow/). I booked a reservation on OpenTable, mentioning it was our wedding anniversary and confirming we were bringing our small dog. It would appear OpenTable notes are not observed, as our anniversary event was never mentioned. When we arrived with our dog, we were told dogs were not allowed in the restaurant. Flummoxed, we noted the web page noting otherwise, and then asked to order take away. The host then said maybe we could be seated outside. It was fairly chilly and he "wasn't sure if heaters were working", but some were arranged. (I noted in other reviews guests are sometimes offered blankets - this was not offered to us.) I understand not every restaurant wishes to cater to dogs, but if you have a whole webpage about it and then are surprised if one turns up, seems like your website may need to be updated. Food was pricey and not exceptional. Some parts of our entrees were cold or barely warm on arrival. Folks who waited on us were friendly. We will not be planning to return.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I ordered a dish that unfortunately wasn’t quite to my taste, but the staff were incredibly kind and understanding and offered to change it for me at no extra cost. I really appreciated how attentive and accommodating they were. The rest of the food was fantastic, and the whole experience was very enjoyable. Great food, lovely service, and a team that genuinely cares about making their customers happy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would happily come back again! 😊
